Anela Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Threads like these are no different than those who are started by men who are pissed off about what they perceive as women's obsession with attractiveness. Are you really so surprised/disappointed that you aren't getting high-fives all around? And last I checked, this isn't one of those "anti-PUA" forums. Hell, the number of people who check out PUA in the first place are a small percentage of the male population, and here you are getting outraged over a forum dedicated to an even SMALLER sample size? Yes, men like attractive women. No, men generally do NOT think or say the things you'd find on an anti-PUA forum. That's your problem. I knew that she was using sarcasm to make a point.
Author verhrzn Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 That's just it - women can't win with a lot of those guys. I've read the angry posts (here, and on those forums in the past), and yet, when they got what they wanted with their PUA tactics, a lot of them then turned around and became disenchanted with how easy it was for them to get sex - they were bothered that women weren't more discriminating. Women can't win either way, can they? And I don't mean just UGLY women can't win... women in general.

So then, with this blame mentality in hand, they gravitate towards PUA which aligns with their belief that women are big, blue meanies, so they have to treat these meanies like dirt to get what they want from them. Unfortunately, the PUA tactics only work on the bottom of the barrel women so then, their negative beliefs about women are reinforced. The cycle continues on and on, where had they actually spent time analyzing and fixing their initial internal disbelief in self and moved towards becoming emotionally healthy, they'd attract and create a more healthy interactive dynamic with women which can lead to healthy relationships. 2

The guys saying this stuff are guys who think they're nice and perfectly acceptable but have an ugly mentality. Don't fixate on the ugly or you'll get more of the ugly (mentality, not physical looks in both cases).
zengirl Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 None of it was bolded. AGGH! Underlined. Stupid iPad. I meant to bold, but apparently I underlined. I wonder what subconscious meaning that has?
