darkmoon Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 do you rely on summer, with the chances to wear more revealing clothing, as your chances to get a boyfriend?
NeverDated Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 do you rely on summer, with the chances to wear more revealing clothing, as your chances to get a boyfriend? No, I didn't. What defines "more revealing clothing"? I've always thought women who dress in what I would consider "more revealing clothing" (like skanks, basically) simply don't know how to cover their body is a tasteful yet sexually charged manner.
january2011 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Usually, my most 'productive' months are August/September. But no, I don't rely on the summer for the chance to wear more revealing clothing to increase my chances to attract guys. I much prefer the fall for clothing choices - the colours suit me better. I like the summer because the sun is out more often and everyone has a more relaxed attitude. It makes me happy.
FitChick Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Everyday is summer. Boring. But I do save on having to buy a different wardrobe for every season.
Eternal Sunshine Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Everyday is summer. Boring. But I do save on having to buy a different wardrobe for every season. Where? I want to move there.
verhrzn Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I wear "less" clothes (as in capri pants instead of long jeans) because it's hot. I figure showing any less will cause guys to flee at the sight of my dimply, vampire-white flesh.
FitChick Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Where? I want to move there. Trust me, you don't. Quality of life is rapidly going down the drain, businesses and people are leaving in droves, taxes are amongst the highest in the US. Besides, sun is bad for your complexion. Do you want to look like Tanning Mom? 2
Bob_Funk Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 This is why I'm not a fan of summer. I don't want to be aroused unless I can actually do something about it.
wwwjd Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 This is why I'm not a fan of summer. I don't want to be aroused unless I can actually do something about it. man.... "shorts" around here have shrunk to the size of small panties lately. is that everywhere now?
RiverRunning Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I dress conservatively. Not head to toe or anything, but I might wear a shirt every then and again that shows a HINT of cleavage. Usually, I don't even show my upper arms. I might wear a knee-length skirt but never anything shorter. Most of the time, I'm in jeans, slacks or a long skirt or dress. So, summer definitely isn't the time for me to 'get a boyfriend.' I figure nowadays you stand out more if you WEAR more clothes. I can't compete with all the 12-years-old at the local mall who have shorts that look like underwear. 1
Bob_Funk Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 man.... "shorts" around here have shrunk to the size of small panties lately. is that everywhere now? Tell me about it. And then there's yoga pants, which flaunt those ass cheeks that I so badly want to pry apart.
mesmerized Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Cant wait to dress up in summer. I'm gonna try look good every day! hell yeah!
Feelsgoodman Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 do you rely on summer, with the chances to wear more revealing clothing, as your chances to get a boyfriend? The trick to getting a boyfriend is to wear jeans that are cut low enough to make your butt crack and tramp stamp clearly visible. 1
Cypress25 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 No, I usually just wear jeans and T-shirts or tank tops during the summer. Dresses and skirts aren't my thing. I'll wear them if I have to, but only if I'm going somewhere fancy. I haven't worn shorts since high school. I had skinny legs back then, now I'm too self-conscious for shorts.

I rarely meet a pair of boots I don't like. To answer the Op...um no. I don't wait around for summer to expose more skin to attract a man. I want a man that likes me...for me. Not for what I wear.

I don't want to dress up to find a boyfriend, I just like going out looking sexy and that doesn't really happen in cold winters.
Star Gazer Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 do you rely on summer, with the chances to wear more revealing clothing, as your chances to get a boyfriend? No, not at all. I don't need to rely on revealing clothing to find a relationship. Also, historically for me and nearly everyone I know, summer is when more people split up to be single, and couple-back up as the holidays approach.
Titania22 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I don't rely on summer to "get a boyfriend", but I do feel the cold so I generally am extremely layered up during winter. Which also tends to make me look larger than I am, and requires an excavation team to find my actual body. What can I say, I am an onion.
FitChick Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Speaking of shorts, I went on my evening walk and noticed all the men (of varying sizes) wearing hideous shorts -- baggy, below the knees, loud plaid or patterns, with socks and sandals, exposing part of a hairy calf. Visually jarring. What were they thinking? Men, only wear shorts if you have the legs for it -- slim fitting, solid color shorts that end above the knee. Only bare feet in sandals! 1
wwwjd Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 We like shorts whether we are sexy or not. Deal. Luckily, we are still going through this "Anything Goes" phase, so the stupider the shorts the "cooler" we like to pretend we feel with our guy friends who are wearing the same because we know it cheeses women off

Titania22 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 We like shorts whether we are sexy or not. Deal. Many Men seem to like wearing and doing alot of things that decrease their overall attractiveness. It baffles me. 2

Mesmerized, I think the more I think about the kind of man I want in my life, despite all the crappy men that are out there, the more easily I will be able to recongnize him when I finally find him. As Billy Joels says...."keeping the faith..."
