I know that I hate guys that frequent strip clubs.

Burlesque is a bit classier. Still, what would you think of a guy that visits a burlesque show once a week?

Posted

I visit burlesque bars. I see it is an art -- I wish I could find guys who did visit them for more than a thrill.

yeah.... hardcore porn is "ART" too.

define anything however you want.

As long as your nakedness is no longer anything special, there is no reason to restrict guys from seeing other's nakedness. And you should visit male strip clubs too.

I love burlesque. But a guy visiting once a week … is this someone you are considering dating? Because it sounds like he is pretty busy.

I like them too. I enjoy the atmosphere and I had some drawing classes of burlesque models.

I just feel like most guys go there to get off on dancers. Hopefully I am wrong.

Yes, the Italian guy I met recently. I feel iffy that he goes so often.

ES - this is woefully off topic, but what's with the new beaming avatar? Weren't you going to be embracing your darker side?

Maybe you could moonlight as a burlesque performer!

 yep that avatar is TOTALLY out of character and only temporary. I am going to find a good one.

Heh I WOULD love that. Maybe I could enroll into some classes. I am being serious.

I was being serious, too. I would so do it if I weren't over the hill.

Well, I looked it up.

Next term starts at the beginning of June. There is an 8-week beginners burlesque course. I am going to start there!!! It sounds really cool: 2-hours per week (1 hour of history of burlesque and 1 hour of teaching you how to dance)

Wow I am actually excited :bunny:

Thanks MC.

In the grand scheme of options, strip bars are relatively harmless. Guys who blow too much money in strip bars are the equivalent of women who spend too much money on shoes, fiscally unsound and not a good bet for relationships. Those who go occasionally? shouldn't be a great big deal unless the woman is religious or very chaste by nature (good luck with that ). If I was going to a strip club for a bachelor party, celebration of something, it was not normal habit, and my GF made a fuss about it? Dump time.

Now that is something I've never been to... a burlesque bar, I thought that only happened back in the 30's or what not.

Going once in a while is one thing, going once every week...hmmm, what is the allure? I can't see myself driving myself every week to go watch some dancing girls, that does seem a little creepy.

Maybe he's infatuated in some way or has some kind of "kinky" side he likes to indulge himself mentally to while watching these women, like a form of mental masturbation.

Or maybe he's really into one of the girls that dances there? hopefully not obsessed but If he goes once a week, why not twice or three times? maybe he think It's creepy telling you how often he goes?

No experience in this, but then again psychologically, I'm still struggling to understand the consistent interest in there without something being at least a little "raunchy" in the mind...but I guess that's up to you to find out or choose, or even do some research, maybe you'll find more information about these places and why people go If there's something unknown to us, maybe It's just some form of entertainment...with dancing women..hmm.

Can't say I'd be thrilled If I were you :p, every week seems like it may be an obsession/addiction, being that he likely goes more than once, what's the infatuation or interest here?

Strip clubs are a form of art. You think its easy to dance on a pole or grind on a guy's lap?

Have you tried it?

Burlesque is awesome! I'm taking a class myself this summer. It's fun and silly and sexy all rolled into one.

... But I admit I don't have a big problem with visiting strip clubs. I once bought my male friend a lap dance. Still, burlesque is so much fun.

Maybe you could go with him sometime? Burlesque has a very female-friendly atmosphere. I know just as many women as men that find it entertaining and fun, and it doesn't have the slight sleaze factor that turn women off to strip clubs.

To be honest I see nothing wrong with a guy going to a burlesque bar every week... They are actual bars and have shows! And if you've been to one, not every burlesque act is about nakedness! And there is actually very little *actual* nakedness, everything is kinda covered with tassles and the like.

A friend of mine works at a burlesque bar. She never took her clothes off, she dresses in corsets and the like and sings! That's her act! And I've been to the bar a couple of times and I'd be there more often if it wasn't always so busy (they sell out!)
