Radu Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Lucy and Ricky always slept in separate beds. At that time there were 20yr olds who still believed the stork brought the babies ...
SJC2008 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 And you believe him because?? I have never heard of a person who can't sleep in a bed with another person. Yeah I'm sure they're out there but I've never seen one. If that was the case then why didn't he offer you the couch instead of having you drive home tired? I don't believe him.
snowflakes88 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I don't believe for a second that he never sleeps in the same bed with women he dates, or those he's in a relationship with. I think he got what he wanted from you and used that as a way to make sure (1) he wouldn't have to deal with the situation anymore and (2) you wouldn't look at him as a douche.
Eternal Sunshine Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 It is selfish. I prefer sleeping alone and have a really hard time falling asleep next to someone else. I spent a lot of sleepless nights with my ex and felt like s... the next day. It's just one of the sacrifices you make to be in a relationship. And you do get used to it...just depends on how hard you are willing to try.

persevere Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 He made you drive home alone at 2am. Now, he's lonely and you actually listened to that garbage? Unless, he's a bishop, which he's not, because he slept with you, you are being played to the hilt. Woe be tied and god speed if you allow that freakin loser back into your world
Leigh 87 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Um, the 3rd or 4th date with my b/f he just said to come to his place and stay... Note, he did say " come and just stay at mine". We were not super close yet but I think most guys are comfortable with sleeping with the girl they fool around with. It is outside the norm to not want to sleep with people in bed - did he clarify wheather it was with girls he did not know well, OR with even long term g/fs? Either way, you know you need a guy who can sleep with u if he has sex with u.

SarahRose Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I read the other thread but it was closed before having a chance to respond. What he did was just horrible and no justification for it at all. I'm glad you are not going out with him again. I am wondering why you decided to speak to him? I really can't think of anything that would allow me to speak to someone like that ever again.
wwwjd Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Lucy and Ricky always slept in separate beds. because television was forced to RESPECT peoples' relationships. two people that were not married were not to be seen in bed together on TV. my, how far we have regressed.... oops! I mean progressed hahahaha
MaxNoob Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Sleeping in the same bed only became popular in the last 100 years. Before that it was a sign of affluence to sleep in separate beds. We've been sold on this idea that sleeping together is essential, when there's no logical reason why it should have anything to do with sex or a relationship, or a couple's ability to be romantic. For half a year I tried, unsuccessfully, to get used to sleeping in the same bed as my now ex-girlfriend. The lack of sleep was bad for my health, I couldn't work properly, and it made me feel terrible, which damaged our relationship. Getting less than 5 hours of sleep takes a serious toll on the body, even increasing the risk of a heart attack. Why is it selfish to want to sleep alone? That way, I can be a better partner when I'm conscious - the time that matters. Being asleep means you are not responsive to people and other environmental stimuli, so why does physical proximity matter? A deal breaker even? What horse s**t.

Oh man this is seriously exactly the speech he gave me as well! Ha. You just have to understand that some people need that intimacy so a lot of women will not be ok with this.

No girlfriends (although he mentioned he tried with a gf), but couldn't deal with the lack of sleep in the long run.
FitChick Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 because television was forced to RESPECT peoples' relationships. two people that were not married were not to be seen in bed together on TV. But Lucy and Ricky were married. Where do you think Little Ricky came from?

Maybe I should start a dating site for relationship insomniacs.
dasein Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Well it`s not from the manual on how to get a quickie from a girl. Maybe I should start a dating site for relationship insomniacs. Any time a man doesn't comply with a woman's wishes, no matter how presumptuous or privileged, she reserves the right to pitch a tantrum, adopt an attitude of outrage, and slander the man in question far and wide. Had OP been male, this thread would have been starkly different, and the outrage expressed would have been directed at the OP concerning his expectation to "invade" her house overnight merely due to their having sex.
kaylan Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Lmao @ OP. Homeboy lied to you. He told you that whole song and dance about seperate beds and apologizing because he was trying to fix the bridge he tore down with you. He was trying to make it so he could get sex and youd never stay over and bother him...or at least youd take the couch. Basically he wants you for a FWB. The sad part if you fell for this shpeel. Come on now girl...youre smarter than this crap.
