Chacha8 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 This may sound really mean, but I keep wishing my ex would come crawling back, begging for forgiveness and begging me to take him back....just so I can tell him to go to hell That way I could feel a small victory out of all of this misery! Has anyone else ever wished that???!! I know I should be the bigger person, but I can't help but feel this way!
Mr Scorpio Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Yes. I have thought something along those lines: meeting my ex for lunch to catch-up and then telling her face-to-face to go to hell. Those feelings, however, didn't last. 2
Eddie Edirol Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Its natural to desire that your ex needs you, so that it puts the power back in your hands for confidence. When it actually happens, even if it isnt begging, it really works. 1
Philosoraptor Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Not abnormal at all. Revenge looks nice until you go through with it. The good feelings related to ripping into someone are just temporary... but the shame looking back at being a dick will last forever. Just let the negativity pass. 4
BewitchedandBothered Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I felt that way in the beginning; wanted him to realize what he let go and come crawling back. I also wanted some revenge; wanted him to feel hurt. That stuff passes though; I wish him well, there is some pity for him, but I let go of the revenge/ego thing. That stuff can weigh heavy on a person. 1
xenomorph Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Certainly felt that way many times, but I realize that it's just the fresh wound festering a bit. Not abnormal at all. Revenge looks nice until the shame looking back at being a dick will last forever. This is why I don't worry about enacting revenge; I know he's doing all in his power to convince himself that he made the right decisions because he knows all too well what a huge massive jerk he was. His family knows it, his friends know it, our mutual friends know it, and despite everyone being polite and cordial, he will never live that down (until he owns up to it). It is 'revenge' enough to have to live with that stink. 1
flitzanu Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 mean? no. just a little vindictive and childish. but we all feel that way, don't worry. just remember that it IS vengeful and that you wouldn't want it done to you. 1
