Am I being insecure?

So, I've been dating a guy for 5+ months now and twice in the past month he has been on the phone with a female friend but it was quite obvious on both accounts that he was making it seem he was alone..I questioned him and he responded with "people don't have to know where I am at all times" both times...and a smart ass comment about "should I have said your name so you can feel less insecure"? Am I being insecure? It just seemed shady..on the other hand I'm thinking maybe he just wants to let them down gently? He did have a lot of woman who liked him as well as I had/have a lot of men who like me and have been easing out of texting/answering calls etc with them...help

Sounds like he's being a jerk.

 

Next time he's on the phone with another woman, say something to him in the background so that the person on the other side of the line hears you, and asks him "who's that?", and see what he says.

When were these conversations taking place? Were you out on a date while he was taking calls?

Wow, that's really not cool. There is no reason to lie about spending time with your GF, period. I bet she does not know he has a GF. I would be really, really upset. You're not being insecure, he is being shady and really uncaring.
