What makes you so sure it was a rejection? Was it because he didn't say 'Hey I think you're hot' instead?

It's definatley a good sign as in it does sound like he's interested. But, it does make him sound like a total nice guy.

So are non alpha males your preference? What is it that you like about them?

Yes; I would say they are my preference.

I like the confidence that comes with them & I'm an alpha female

really? Why dont dont you go for alpha guys then, and double your confidence quotient in your men. You'd even get a dash of arrogance as well.

By showing interest in him, initiating conversations without hitting on him hard and trying to learn what he is about. He isn't just a penis with a man attached to it, he is a human being.

You will do yourself a favour long term as well if you treat your object of desire as a person as opposed to some robot who is supposed to jump into bed with you just because you expressed your desire.

Actually, we do have nice innocent conversations & I have learned things about him.

I'm just blatently telling you guys how sexually attracted I am to him.

Why can't he just be a penis with a man attached to it?

Many so-called alpha male and females are really very insecure and hence resort to an alpha type behavior as a compensatory mechanism.

A true alpha does not need to be loud or aggressive when interacting with others or trying to date.

If this is all about sex then tell him you want to sleep with him.

Give it up...

Most of these men here have bought into and subscribe to the whole pu55ification of man thing. Essentially, they are women with a penis.

Even after years of being this way and hundreds of failures later... They have yet to connect the dots to realize all that happens with being a pussified man is getting you "friendzoned" or treated like a women's gay best friend.

That's okay... Means there is plenty more for the rest of us Alpha males.

Hmmm, surely non alphas are less confident than alphas?

If you're still pining for your ex, then the good thing to do would be to stop sidelining him and let him go. That's wasting his time.

Oh Really?

Beta Males substitute lifting heavy weights and 6 pack abs with being a "nice guy" and being the "best friend she has ever had" in hopes that she eventually pity him. Beta males want this pity to develop into romantic feelings. Beta's are the one trying to manipulate women, not Alphas. Alpha males tell you like it is and don't apologize for it.

As far as personality goes... Alpha's have PLENTY of it! Men like you morph into whatever you think the women wants you to be.

Nobody wants to be your EVERYTHING.

A lot of people say the alpha male is someone who naturally leads the group, is the center of conversations, but I found a lot of the times the guy who feels the need to lead the group be at the center can a lot of the time be the most insecure. In many case I just think its a phony act that some guys in their late teens and twenties put on, to cover up the fact they're actually losers. You don't see many successful guys in their thirties behave like this, because they don't need to.

Pierre, some of that is true of alpha males but, what Gibson said is right. They don't have to be obnoxious, they play whatever role is needed of them at the time.

I'm not talking about teenagers and young men in their early 20s.

I am talking about authentic Men who get their self-worth, self-esteem, validation, approval, confidence, etc. from within.

I think some folks confuse alpha male with the loud mouth blue collar guy who is in the gym everyday lifting weights.

The alpha can be a lawyer that hardly ever goes to the gym and gets all the women due to his better income and education.

Again the Alpha males I am referring too have "quiet" confidence... like the men in Movies portrayed by Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Sean Connery, John Wayne, etc.

Most men these days think they are suppose to be like Al Bundy, Raymond, Homer Simpson, Etc.

They certainly don't have to be obnoxious, but they don't "play whatever role." Those are the sociopaths.

Pop culture has completely distorted the use of the term "alpha" (and "beta," for that matter) in relationship to male human beings.

Exactly Pierre,

I AM talking about higher education, better income, lawyer type of guys.

Very good point. Sometimes a so-called Apha is a smooth talker that tells women what they want to hear. Some sociopaths can be extremely charming.

Some sociopaths are natural leaders.

Seriously:

A fit good looking guy that is well educated with money will be alpha even if he does not try very hard.

Alpha males don't try, they just are.
