Chrisal23 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Today I felt weird. It's like I'm feeling that im slowly forgetting but I also feel hurt that she's proba ly feeling the same way about, that she's moving on. It's been about a month with NC and it sucks. Love really hurts I just can't wait to be happy again , I sometimes have false hope that we both change and well get back together , but I only know this is asking for trouble :/ so I'm off to go running see if that will get me distracted a little. Anyone please post anything that could help me out. Thanks
sid3 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 It'll get better a little at a time. One day it'll be great again. Be happy that you have your legs and were able to go running. The next love of your life is out there somewhere, you just haven't met her yet.
Mr Scorpio Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Anyone please post anything that could help me out. To paraphrase the great Richard Pryor: "Men cannot graduate until a woman breaks your heart. That is your diploma. It will either kill you or make you fat." There is a chance you will find a love even greater than the one you lost. Is it possible that your ex will return? Sure. Mine did. Is it possible that she will leave you a second time? Sure. Mine did. Are you certain to find love again in your life? No. Is anything certain in life? Only death. All you can do is learn lessons from your previous relationship and carry them into any subsequent ones you may have. 2

The good news I can give you is they pass, and this pain? It passes too. Those feelings you described, they often lessen so substantially with the passing of time, sometimes it's difficult to remember them and not feel a touch embarrassed by your own sentimentality. It's just the place you're in right now is so hard. But, every day is a step forward from this place of pain. One day, one step. It's been 18 months since my break-up. About 3 months in is when the healing really took off. How long has it been for you? Since the initial break-up I mean. Edited May 1, 2012 by cerridwen
Author Chrisal23 Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Yes time definitely helps. It has been about a month that she broke up with me. Ever since then I contacted her about 2 weeks ago but since then I am doing NC. The only thing that surprises me is that you can't really trust almost anyone. Many times the people who say they love and will never leave most likely will.
Mr Scorpio Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 The only thing that surprises me is that you can't really trust almost anyone. Many times the people who say they love and will never leave most likely will. I think that this is the worst thing about a breakup. You assume that friends and family can be trusted. You believe that they will always be there. Only for your best friend and the person you want to become your family to leave you? If you're young, then you might be able to take some solace in the idea that your ex had never gone through the sort of pain they caused you. I would like to think that someone who has been through that will be less likely to put someone else through it. But you just never know.
