irc333 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Was talking to this male friend, and he was showing me this picture of a woman he met at a local bar. It was one of those bars where the uniforms have the whole "Cosette" thing going on. So, it was cleavage city, but not too risque. Anyways, he gets to talking to the lady bartender, around his age actually, late 30's early 40's....his friend says, "Hey, why don't you get her #?" And he always considered himself Average looking on the outside, bu he was like "Screw it, Ill get her #" he did ask for her #, and she said, "Let me think about it." She comes back later...and gives it to him on a napkin! So, there goes that theory of, "They only flirt to get tips and have ton of guys hitting on them." HE also took this into consideration when he asked her out. Most bartenders don't give out their #'s, right?
scatterd Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I was a bartender I dated a couple of guys that asked me out.Their is some flirting but their was no rules to dating.
thatone Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 and here i thought bartenders were just asexual single celled organisms arranged into a pile.
dasein Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Would take getting a number from waitstaff with a grain of salt. Once your buddy has dated her several times with no flakes or odd behavior antics, get back to us.
truth_seeker Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Would take getting a number from waitstaff with a grain of salt. Once your buddy has dated her several times with no flakes or odd behavior antics, get back to us. Agree. I got a number from a hot bartender one time, spoke with her on the phone once and it never went anywhere.
Star Gazer Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I bartended on the Sunset Strip in my early 20's and gave out "my number" all the time. Can't keep a guy (and all his friends) coming back to give me fat tips if I reject him, now can I? Wink, wink.
