Hi everybody!

I am a newbie to this forum, so thought I would wave hello! I am in an LDR for the next 4 weeks. I am American (22) and my fiance is German (23) and we have been together for 11 months. We met on ICQ three years ago, and through a twist of fate, in Germany last summer while I was backpacking across Europe. I moved to Germany six weeks ago to start my life here with him now that I am finished with my BA. I am doing a nice, paid internship in a city that is currently 4 hours away from where he lives, so the relationship is still long distance, but at least is no longer international. :D

We hope to be married by the end of August, and we are very excited about being able to finally start our lives together even though we know that it will be difficult going. He is still in uni and will be for about 1.5 more years. I have to find work, but it is kind of difficult in a country with high unemployment. If it gets really bad, I will just come back to America for a few months, temp, save up some money, and come back. However, I doubt that will be necessary; I am sure I'll find SOMETHING to do (Work is work ;) ). There is also the fun fun US immigration stuff to do for when we are both ready to come to America (anyone who has had experience with this, please, do tell).

I wish others in LDRs the same kind of luck me and my fiance have had!
