dasein Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) By women or men? Oh forgot to say I sing it in a Joe Piscopo doing Sinatra voice. Pure pantymelter, and if that's not enough, there's always "Careless Whispers" to seal the deal. If they still aren't puttin out, then "Come Sail Away" by Styx is all I got left. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfKT7cJGpY4. Edited April 28, 2012 by dasein
wwwjd Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) If you do, just make sure you know she digs you so that she won't notice how bad you are. ...oh... *I* can sing [oops! too much personal info on music link] Edited April 28, 2012 by wwwjd
january2011 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I don't know if you've seen some of the rejects on American Idol. They're not good enough for the family either... lol I wasn't being overly critical that he's not professional. He seems to think he is semi pro, and he's a little cringe worthy. I think you would have to have been there. It was funny. Only on YouTube. I think his overconfidence in his abilities and cringeworthiness would have been dealbreakers for me if there was zero attraction and zero chemistry. Had I been there, I think I would have been mortified unless I was deeply in love with him. Have had guys singing to me before in public - of varying levels of ability - and the biggest deciding factor is how attracted I am to him rather than his ability.

This shows a whole different side to you das. A confusing one, I'll admit. ...oh... *I* can sing [oops! too much personal info on music link] If I can't youtube it and judge for myself, it can't be true. Only on YouTube. I think his overconfidence in his abilities and cringeworthiness would have been dealbreakers for me if there was zero attraction and zero chemistry. I think had I been attracted to him, I would have thought it was sweet for him to sing. I still would have been slightly embarrassed. He did it in public. Ah well. His future wife will love him for it. 1
Necris Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Clearly, you didn't read my post. The only way he was able to facebook stalk me is by finding out my last name mysteriously. He also knew where I worked. I never told him. Finding out your date's last name shouldn't be that difficult and finding out where they work can be done easily with facebook, I'm not you but to me that doesn't sound like creepy stalker behavior just research. Now the singing bit that was funny and I can see why that would be uncomfortable, what song did he sing? I would have just song .
EasyHeart Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 If you do, just make sure you know she digs you so that she won't notice how bad you are. I think this is the important point. You had already decided that you didn't like the guy, so nothing he did was going to change your mind. And since you didn't like him, the singing came off as cheesy. I sing for women all the time and have always gotten a great response from it. But I don't sing to impress them and I don't sing on the first date!!! It's always after they already like me and notice my guitar and say, "OMG, play something for me!!!" Then they melt like a grape popsickle. . . .

I don't know why that stuck out. Yeah, I think the first date is not the time for it. But when you see signs of interest, it would be cute. Unless you suck. Then she's REALLY going to have to like you to not get a buzz kill from that. A guy I dated was interested in a girl who had gone part time in her real job to sing. He said she was overly confident in her abilities, and it was a turn off that she was so unaware that she would not be able to make it professionally. I think I hafta agree with him there. People who are not self aware tend to make poor partners in general. Does Miss Marry like guys who sing? Depends on what he sings and how well. If he's singing something and is aware he sucks and it's comical, I think i'd like him more. But for the love of god not in public. How's it going with your gal, Easy? Do you sing to her?
EasyHeart Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Grape? What's significant about grape? I don't know why that stuck out.Because grape is the BEST popsicle. Duh. How's it going with your gal, Easy? Do you sing to her?ZOMG, I don't sing to her, I serenade her!!! I also keep reading from the women on LS that men only date women who are submissive and obedient, so I told my GF that she had better submit and obey me. She told me I was cute and that I could rub her feet for a while and then cook her dinner after I drew her bubble bath. I think I'm doing something wrong. 4

Superior to best. It's a shame that you're unavailable. I'd have to make you draw my bath and cook me dinner. The injustice of it all.
Ross MwcFan Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Was he just joking around when he sang? Or was he being serious?

Star Gazer Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Re: Facebook... Did he have your email address? You can search FB by email address. If your handle on an OLD site is also in your chosen FB URL, your FB would also come up with a quick Google search of your OLD handle.

I know the regular ways to go about snooping. We've all google stalked dates (well, I have after I like the guy and could care less before it.) My only guess is that our mutual friend pointed him in my direction and that's how he knew about me. But I haven't seen that guy in a few years so it's confusing as to why he'd get involved.
