Eternal Sunshine Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I need a new one. I will "like" each post that actually answers this
confused kitty Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I wear Channel Chance ( the origional one!) My bf and previous exs looooved it, and were always commenting on how sexy it was :-) 1
Pyro Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 pretty much anything that doesn't smell like vanilla. 1
wwwjd Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I have no idea what the names of perfumes are. I know I like many of them, as long as it blends with the girl and my nose. Never sensed one that was a "Wallet Dropper" (as opposed to the male cologne idea: "panty dropper") Occasionally, I pass by someone that is more plastic soap than nice perfume. Usually, much older ladies at the office (60+) and I don't really like their choices. Might want to avoid those kinds, unless you ARE 60+... then just so you know, it makes you smell OLD! Sorry, truth. You could go to a perfume site and select "best sellers" and randomly pick something from the Top10 I recall liking something from Vic Secrets shop.... some names I recall liking in past GFs were HAPPY, and OBSESSION, .... and Georgio but I cant recall if I liked that one or DIDN'T like it 1
Star Gazer Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 pretty much anything that doesn't smell like vanilla. Fascinating! Almost every "expert" says vanilla is one of the top notes of a perfume for seducing a man! My current fave is Jennifer Aniston's fragrance... My only complaint is it doesn't last long - seriously, less than an hour. 1

The smell of it irks me for some reason, but of course it can smell different on different people.
Author Eternal Sunshine Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 I quite like the smell of Desperation... seems to be working for me.

xpaperxcutx Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Gucci has a series of scents in their floral range... and I use dior miss dior which smells divine . There's a lot of people who buy juicy coutures new scent which I think smells too strong and tacky. 1

If you want to seduce a man with your smell, wear this Every man within 100 feet will want a bite. 1
Author Eternal Sunshine Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Somedude, Do you have any preferences?
somedude81 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Somedude, Do you have any preferences? Heh, I was actually being mostly honest. The smell of bacon is much more appealing to me then vanilla, flowers or fruit. I've never understood the point of perfume when all the scents are things that women like. The primary purpose of cologne is to appeal to women, but the same can't be said about perfume. So no, I don't have a preference, just don't wear too much 1
reallyhotguy Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I don't know about women's scents, I just came for the free Like. I would suggest you check out Basenotes. 2
Joaquin Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 seems to be working for me. Totes. A run a mile tho when I smell Dillusion....
dasein Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I like pungent citrus, grapefruit for example. There is significant research that anise/licorice (Good n Plenty candy in the U.S.) and cucumber are scents that heighten initial sexual response in both men and women. Dig it up, too lazy myself today. 1
Feelin Frisky Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I don't care as long as it is lightly applied and not used ala Europe before indoor plumbing where a bath was an annual proposition even for the well-heeled. 1
threebyfate Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Perfume mixes with the natural body scents of a woman's body where the same perfume can and does smell differently for each woman. It's also reliant on the man's preference what scents he finds arousing. In essence, there's no generic perfume that appeals to all or even most men. But I would recommend you stay away from the trendy or cheap perfumes. They lack the depth of the quality perfumes. A good perfume will have layers where when you first apply it, there will be scent differences from later on that day. With a quality perfume, you can also recharge it later in the day with a very light application of water. 1
snug.bunny Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I like perfumes that are woodsy/musky. Two of my favs are Christian Dior Addict and Armani Exchange CityGlam (which unfortunately is now discontinued) Those are really more for going out scents (too strong for day use) during the day I just like to use Bath and Body works Vanilla Coconut. It's light and breezy with a hint of nut . I also like BBW's Twilight Woods, Moonlit Path and Dark Kiss Body Spray. 1
findingnemo Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 My signature perfume the last few years has been "Flower Bomb" by Viktor & Rolf. It's musky and oh so good. Men absolutely love it. Women go crazy over it. Layering the bath oil, lotion or creme and the scent works wonders. 1
Pyro Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Your olfactory nerve must be broken. when I get a whiff of vanilla scented fragrances I do wish that it was.
USMCHokie Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 pretty much anything that doesn't smell like vanilla. I hate vanilla scented anything as well... Unfortunately, I don't know the names of any perfumes, so I couldn't recommend any. I'll go to the store with you though to pick one out...only if you do the same for me. 1
