WhiteChocolate Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Some friends and I were talking and one brought up the "types" of people we go for. She said, "For example, this other friend I have always goes for, not to be mean, losers. People who are going nowhere, without a plan, no ambition. And this girl has money, so she ends up playing sugar momma. She attempting to "save" men." She then mentioned another friend who is attracted to money. For herself, she claimed that she is attracted to power, and she likes being part of a "power couple." I thought about it, and I am attracted to reliability. What about you LS'ers
threebyfate Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Men who are comfortable in their manhood, not needing women to kowtow to their ego.

Author WhiteChocolate Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Men who are flawed, multi-talented, competent and full of contradictions. Men who are comfortable in their manhood, not needing women to kowtow to their ego. I like those characteristics too...but are those the characteristics that you find yourself being attracted to over and over again? Are they present in the majority of men you have dated?
Jane2011 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I go for the urban intellectual guy who's liberal and educated. He's usually an avid reader who isn't remotely misogynistic and, indeed, emphatically likes/values women. (That's why I haven't developed many Loveshack crushes, lol). While my type usually likes a sport or two, he's never a big sports fanatic. I like literary dudes who are good writers Yet, I can't deal with arrogant intellectuals. Humble ones, yes. Arrogant ones, no.

Arrogant ones, no. I would like to add, too, that what I described above has, repeatedly, been what I'm attracted to for relationships and me feeling very 'in love'. I've been attracted to other types of men (some even quite different from what I described above), but the guys were not relationship material for me and did not feel like a fit.

somedude81 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Cut nerdy girls who like video games and/or anime and understand internet jokes. She also has to have a decent sense of humor and know how to laugh. Having other interests that I don't share is also good and helps me learn more about her.
fucpcg Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Sexually adventurous athletes with great style and great sense of humor.
somedude81 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Bah, I meant cute nerdy girls, not cut nerdy girls. I don't want a girl that looks like fucpcg 1
Ruby Slippers Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Brave and heroic, confident, warm, romantic and sexy, free-thinking, strong, and sweet.

ThaWholigan Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Girls who are a little fiery with a certain mystique, almost like there is an endless depth about them. Like an intellectual bad girl with many layers to her character. Not sure if it's the right type for me in the grand scheme, but the type I'm likely to fall for 1

ThaWholigan Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 This is me And the more elusive they seem, the more likely I am to chase them all the way. They bring out a whole different dimension in me I have to say.
jobaba Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Someone who is loyal and respects me ... the latter meaning they WANT me as a boyfriend and are PROUD to call me their boyfriend. I was hanging out with a male acquaintance (decent looking, pretty fun guy) recently who I don't know well and he brought out his 'girlfriend'. Let's call him Bob. While he was away to the side, she was talking to the other girls. "Let's go meet some HOT guys." Me: "What about Bob?" Her: "I said I want to meet HOT guys!" It doesn't matter if they were non-exclusive or whatever. That's the type of person she is whether he gets her to commit or not. That kind of disrespect ... I don't want to be anywhere near it. I have many hobbies and interests, but compatibility in those areas would be nothing without the respect. 2
