billiscool666 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 So there's this girl. We're both in high school. I've liked her for a few months now. In December, I had thought she liked me, and I asked her to study with me, but she sort of let it go and didn't respond. I later found out she'd hooked up with this guy and they went out for a month from Dec till Jan. To clarify, in the fall, before December, she would initiate a lot of conversations, make lots of eye contact, smile, catch up to me when I'm walking away, etc. I think she definitely liked me as at least a friend before. She's single now. That guy definitely is a muscular guy. She might be a step out of my league, but if we went out it would not be "out of place" at all. Anyways, things were a bit awkward between us, but now she's been talking to me, saying my name (she didn't do that before) and making a good deal of eye contact/faces at me in class. She is a flirty-ish person though. I asked her friend to bring me up privately and see what she thinks of me. She did say that she thinks I'm "cute." I also know that there's noone else on her mind (heard from her close friend). Do you think if I asked her out, she'd go for it? I would consider myself better than average and she definitely isn't like that out of my league--our going out would be, by appearance, absolutely normal and even. I would consider myself her friend, but not that good a friend either. Thanks. I will go for it since I don't have much to lose. But what do you guys think?
Philosoraptor Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I will go for it since I don't have much to lose. But what do you guys think? That's the right attitude. If she doesn't like you so what? In the end it doesn't matter. I'd say go for it and if it doesn't work then move on.

Philosoraptor Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Thanks for your responses. But what do you honestly think of the situation? Thanks. I think that what happens happens. She could be interested, very friendly, a natural flirt... your guess is as good as anyone else's. If you want to take a stab at it then take a stab at it.
