So I met this guy... Contact Info?

Recently, I attended a company's "Introduction + Information Session" for new employees. Before I go into details about the situation, I am thinking of not taking the job because I wish to pursue something else instead. So if it's about company protocol mixing business with pleasure, if I decide to decline then this won't be an issue.

(And if, hypothetically I do take on this job, he and I would be having alternating schedules, so the chance we meet again are slim.)

Back to the situation at hand. I met a sweat man at the introduction, we got talking and quickly established a friendly and professional connection. Throughout the introduction and subsequent activities, he always seemed to find ways to talk to me -and I suppose I took that as a good sign. He was really intrigued by me and seemed to have this expression as if he wanted to say/ask for something but couldn't.

When it came time to leave, at the end, I was conversing with someone about some company details -and he was busy conversing with someone else, I didn't know how to say goodbye or at least exchange contact information, so I just left.

He could've asked for my number at any point during the presentation, but that would've been really awkward for him. So I don't blame him.

Is there some way I could contact him? Or should I chalk this up and move on?

Would it be too creepy if I contacted the company to pass along his contact information?

Thank you for reading. :)

Do you know his name? If you do, look him up on LinkedIn, send an invite along with a message saying where you met, how you didn't get a chance to say goodbye and exchange info, and that you enjoyed your conversation with him.

That's not a bad idea at all. But! I only know his first name and not his last. And I wouldn't want to make a LinkedIn account to contact him.

Its nerves! That happened to me too. Also he might be being careful because its a work related environment. You shouldn't worry about it because he'll probably be kicking himself for not asking for your phone number and trying to find ways to contact you. If you must, you can search for him via the company and shot him a quick email thanking him for the convo. He'll probably get the hint if he's like most guys.

If it's not a real big company and you really want to know, then talk to someone in HR, tell them the situation and give them your name and number. Maybe they will know who he is and pass along the info. If not, then all they can say is no. You can't leave it up to another time in those situations, tell them that you'll probably never have the chance to see them again and you think he's cute and can you have or give him your number.

Good luck.
