How long did it take you get over the Break Up not the ex, the BU?

This past week I´ve realized that I don´t miss HIM anymore and when I broke it off I knew that was it. It´s been 3 months since the BU. But the break up was just bad, sometimes is hard not to think about it and my stomach hurts.

 

I wonder when will I get over it?...Has anyone found harder to get over the BU more than your ex?

my breakup was a 15 minute conversation after 5+ years of being together. Like a bandaid, just ripped it off. So I was over that in a hurry. Getting over the ex takes some time. I might be over her now I'm not sure . I don't question it, just live my life. This all happened about 2 months ago.

Totally can relate. I know my ex is not a great catch, however, how he ended it, how he made me feel humiliated, kept stringing me along....that took some time to get over, its been a yr in may and sometimes if i'm bored, lonely or down the thoughts of the few months after our break up makes my chest hurt at how unhappy i was and how after all we said and were together he could so easilly act like he did. Nothing will ever surprise me now! Some people come into your life as blessings, other people come into your life as lessons. He was a lesson.
