prefers to come to me in Philly? She lives in Trenton and I was going to meet her out there and she says it's nothing to do in TRENTON????????? LOL

 

So let me get this straight, there is nowhere for two people to go in trenton to eat and talk??? Does it sound strange that she would rather come to philly when I agreed to come to her?

 

 

See I was being considerate and didn't want her to do a lot of traveling but she wants to come here. Never heard of such a thing

Trenton isn't that far from Philly either.

Trenton is the pitts of Jersey. I'm not sure why you are so shocked that she would prefer to go out on a date in a hip city like Philly. Believe it or not many women do look forward to doing fun and exciting things on dates. We don't get dolled up to just go to a local coffee shop or diner.

 

It's considerate of you to not want to burden her with traveling but it's not considerate of you to "LOL" at her preference for wanting to go out on a nice date in the city.

 

It sounds strange that YOU, being from Philly, cannot understand what she means by "there's nothing to do in Trenton". Obviously the chick knows there are plenty of restaurants/bars but Trenton is about as unromantic as steel (it used to be the steel capital).

I guess she is going to drive to philly for 45 mins since that's her choice. I was looking forward to having a nice relaxing date in the suburbs near trenton but I guess not lol

It was nice of you to offer to travel to where she is, but she told you it's not necessary, and that was pretty nice, too. Maybe on your second date with her, you can get your change of scenery and go to Trenton.

Why does something like that even need a downside, in your eyes? Is it possible for you to see a potential date's actions in any light that isn't negative?

 

As another poster asked - why do you feel compelled to create all these problems where there are none?

Most people are guilty of not appreciating what their own city has to offer. When I worked in NYC, I never went to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and lots of other places. I always meant to but never got around to it. One place that always gave me the creeps, and I only walked past it, was the World Trade Center. Premonition?

Why? was it because the WTC was so high?

 

And different dates are fine but for the first meet and greet it is usually a cafe or if it's warm a place where we can go for ice cream.

I was told by a friend I need to stop being lazy and stop having females come to me on a first meeting so I was trying to be different and when I offered to come to her I was just surprised she wanted to come to me.
