People knew he was trolling and played with it.

Obviously you didn't get it huh?

I agree. It's hilarious just how differently a male poster would be treated for creating a thread with an identical topic. I've been reading this board long enough to go that most people would not be sympathizing with the OP's decision if OP was a guy. You can accuse this of making the thread go "off-topic," but last I checked, there isn't a separate section of LS where you can discuss the blatant hypocrisy demonstrated by some posters.

I did.

I's raining and cold and wind nearly broke my umbrella. I texted the "simplify" guy to better move the dinner to another time, like tomorrow or the day after.

He responded "forget it"

Is bad weather not a valid reason or something?

I have cancelled dates due to bad weather so I don't see a problem with it. who the f*cks wants to go on a date when it's COLD and RAINY???

If the weather is going to make you cancel a date then you must've not really wanted to go on it. It wouldn't be cold and rainy inside a restaurant, so that excuse is not valid.

You still have to get out the car and walk to the restaurant in the rain. Let's face it, cold and rainy is not a good time to go on a date. It's a good time to cuddle if you been knowing each other that long

Did you tell him that you were cancelling to due to the weather?

Snow is bad weather, times when it's not safe to drive or be outside. Rain and wind? Hmm, to be honest, seems like a slight cop-out.

How is it a cop out when she was rescheduling the date?

She just admitted that she wasn't really interested in him in the first place, so that's why her "excuse" is being reviewed under a microscope.

No, I am not playing games at all.

I am just not terribly interested, in him or dating in general. I am trying to push myself into it because when I was like that last time, it took me 4 years to start dating again. I feel dead inside and I don't like feeling like this at all.

He knows about my break-up and how I feel about dating and was willing to still have a go and see what happens.

Anyhow, he apologized for his over-reaction. He has dinner at his sisters tomorrow and after unsuccessfully trying to talk me into still coming tonight, we re-scheduled for Thursday.

Well damm thanks for wasting my time. Why didn't you just say all of this on the 1st page? I was agreeing with you because I have cancelled dates due to rain and now I feel like a damm fool

I know I just saw it and feel like a damm fool for defending her. I cancelled a date last summer because it was a big thunderstorm so that's why I agreed
