Is it weird for platonic friends to lay on the couch, cuddle and watch tv??

Posted

nope. friends are friends. no more, no less no in betweens.

Is this your kryptonite, Mr. Not-Ready-For-Relationship?

If so, I would say you're walking dangerous grounds. You shouldn't be lapping up crumbs, you should be basting in adoration.

The question isn't do friends sit on the couch and cuddle, the question is: are you sure this is the best thing for you?

Now let's see if I can work another metaphor in here...

You're the director of this movie... Do you really think this is the story you will tell your grandkids?

Lol no, Kamille, this is not my situation with that guy. ( I wish we were cuddling). This is about something else. But thank you for your concern!

some people can just get the crumbs

exactly and once again being judgemental and saying things which arent even true. typical behavior

the advice was given which was clear and to the point and honest. friends are friends, nothing more or less - dont change the definition of what friends means.

Crumbs of junk food will only make you feel worse about yourself. Best to hold out for the home cooked meal.

The litmus test is well-being: Does this relationship make me happy or does it make me anxious and sad?

Is this fixation on one person potentially keeping me from a truly fulfilling relationship?

Is it affecting my self-esteem negatively?

And, finally, is there an internal reason why I'm hanging on to a non-relationship? (One's own unrecognized fear of commitment, for example)

Phew!

Glad to hear it.

Answer: No, friends don't normally cuddle on the couch. But I'm surprised no kissing happened if you were both comfortable enough to cuddle.

why does kissing automaticaly follow from cuddling?

Kissing is usually a strong sign of mutual interest.
