moimeme Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 After having been chased all around a dance floor today by someone who did not seem to be picking up on the interaction between us, I remembered one of the surefire signs of whether someone likes you or not. Others have posted about this, but I wanted to emphasize it a bit more because it is really useful to know. If the person likes having you physically close, it's a VERY good sign. Pay close attention to what s/he does when you move into his/her personal space. If s/he doesn't move away, try getting a little closer. If your approachee stops smiling or looks somehow uncomfortable - or moves away - that's not good. Mind you, if the place you get stopped from advancing is closer than the space allowed to others, it's still not negative. Now, sometimes a person will think you've moved close by accident and will move away so not to infringe on your space, so give it a couple different tries at different times. Do NOT, whatever you do, follow if the person backs away!!!! But you can try again later. If the person moves away again, especially if facial expression changes, then your chances are not good. If, on the other hand, the person stays in place or even moves closer to you, or leans towards you, or looks happy or pleased, then that's your signal that you have a good chance with him or her. This link is for kids, but it's a good explanation about personal space: http://www.geocities.com/thesciencefiles/personal/space.html
Chris85 Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 there is a little bit more too it then that, here are some websites i use. For all the girls: http://www.bbc.co.uk/teens/girls/sexloveandlife/mylovelife/index.shtml All the lads: http://www.bbc.co.uk/teens/lads/sexandlife/atoz/pulling/ I might almost be 19 but this stuff is gold. Even tho I find some of it morally incorrect. For the 18+ males: http://www.askmen.com/dating/index.html
CurlyIam Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 So, moi, may I ask when you'll be seeing this guy again ?
Author moimeme Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 So, moi, may I ask when you'll be seeing this guy again ? ROTFL - you mean Mr. Chase-around? He's already been told I was not interested and I was trying to get him out of my personal space
Author moimeme Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 Ah but moi...he wants you! Well he ain't gettin' me and that's that! LOL. There's another dancer who seems quite taken with him and I believe they'd be a fine pair. And she's very happy to have him stand close to her
sportsloving Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 Moi ~ Moi ~ Moi You never fail to crack me up. I told you, next time he invades your personal space, step on his toes ... HARD LOL or set him up for a date with the lady who may well be interested and hope they are eternally bound to dance together PS Moi ~ do you like me?? (ROFL )

Author moimeme Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 People, believe me I'm trying!!! And I love ya both You can dance with me any old time you like
sportsloving Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 Setting them up is easy as pie. Tell him you would love if he would come to this little get together at said resturant at said time, tell her the same, and of course don't appear unless you want to make sure that either shows up Letting nature take course and let the sparks fly, and may her space not be limited PS Moi, I love ya too but your PM box and I are arguing. It says it is full, I say it can not possibly be so
Author moimeme Posted June 21, 2004 Author Posted June 21, 2004 Hell's bells - I just cleaned that thing out! LOL Listen, ladyboo is doing a fine enough job of wooing him herself. She monopolizes him during practices and bought him a birthday cake for his birthday a couple weeks ago. Short of stripping them both naked and pushing them at each other (ew!), I don't think my help is really necessary!!! LOL

Thinkalot Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 Too bad we live so far away moi...given the extreme lack of people in the ballroom classes in my town, I could do with joining your group! But I suppose the other side of the world is a stretch

Thinkalot Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 LOL! Perhaps the competition would inspire Bunnyboy to join me at dance classes?
