LostGirl11 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I'm going to keep this short. Basically I over stepped the line and now I'm being ignored which is understandable. I feel like I owe an apology but is there any point if I'm being ignored?
january2011 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Yes, I believe so. Without knowing the circumstances, I'm going to give some generic advice. I suggest writing a letter to apologise, that you would like to clear the air and apologise in person. However, also say that you understand if he/she never wants to speak to you again. Then let it go. If they don't respond, you'll have to accept that as their final answer on the matter. 1
firehawk_1 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 absolutely well said January2011. dont be another one of the nasties. do the decent and right thing. apologise. its good you acknowledge your wrong doing, not many people would these days. next step is to apologise and leave it at that. at least you know you did the right thing. 1

Yes I want to do the decent thing but I know it will sting if I get ignored. I text him last night to basically give him an olive branch into talking about things but I got blanked I don't know what to do...
Author LostGirl11 Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 Also is it worth bringing up how hes dealt with it? I'm mad that he has ignored me and I thought he was better than that! Or do I just stick to what needs to be said, which is me apologising?
Comfortably Numb Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 If you want the best chance of success don't bring up how he's handled it! From experience, i've only made it worse by stating how the other person handled it. Regardless of how harmless i meant to bring it up. Only made it worse!
