BaconBaconBacon Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 My boyfriend broke up with me yesterday. I thought we were going to get married. I've been with men twice as long as i was with him, and at one point or another I knew things were going downhill. With him? I thought we were perfect. We had a huge blow up fight yesterday, he cussed me put, it drove me mad, I called him names, it got ugly. And today, when I was trying to get my stuff, I tried to keep it together but I couldn't. I cried on the phone like a baby and asked him why he wanted this for the 3rd time. He told me to leave him alone and stop calling him. He called me stupid and said I was crazy and that I need a restraining order. I've never seen such a quick turn of cards in my life. Two days ago, we were perfect. He said he's been falling out of love with me for a month. I'm so alone. I put everything I had to this relationship. I don't know if I can ever forget how wonderful he made me feel when times were good. Please help me. I need someone.
HollyBolly Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I've been with men twice as long as i was with him, What does this mean?
Author BaconBaconBacon Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 What does this mean? Basically this is the shortest relationship ive been in with me being in love . Anything shorter than this was just a fling. But I've been with Other guys for the longest 2 years

favoritepills Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 We're here for you! I've been in your shoes (I'm still only on Day 9), I know it feels like your world has turned upside down. Just let it out, cry it out for a little while and contact your friends so they can give you support during this rough time. Whatever you do, DO NOT contact him. You'll just give him another opportunity to reject you. Google "NC rule," or perhaps another forumer here will give you the link to CaliGuy's NC Guide (I wish I had it on me, but stupid Chrome is not letting me find it). During the first few days, it felt like every hour took forever to pass -- I didn't know how I could make it. But I got the support I needed to start rebuilding my independent life little by little, and now I feel so much more hopeful for the future. Each day flies by. 1
HollyBolly Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Have to agree with pills here. Go NC and stick to it. You sound very young. Don't worry. It will get better and you will meet someone else who treats you the way you should be treated. I'm sorry you're going through all this.
Author BaconBaconBacon Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 thanks for the support folks.. i googled nc rule and i guess it will be easier for me because he wont return my calls or even my texts. it hurts a lot but i guess it's for the better. he made it seem so simple. it was just so quick. we went from crazy for each other to god i freaking hate your guts in the matter of a day. when i tried to text him, he was being a total dick. he just kept correcting my spelling and putting apostrophe's in appropriate places. i don't know what i did to deserve such hatred. i wish i saw this coming. and now, i have my first night alone. i have a feeling this is going to be really difficult
123321 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 A common reason guys "fall out of love" is if the girlfriend starts packing on weight; not saying that's the case but it might be a possible reason. If you're on the road to signing your life away in a non-negotiable legal contract (AKA marriage) and she's already plumping up, it's scary. So I guess the questions are, how are you different from how you were 8 months ago, and what was your role in the daily running of the relationship?

The past month I had not slept one night at my house. He said he didn't think it was good that we spent every day together but when I asked him if he wanted to hang out he never said no.
