For example, if you meet a guy/gal who is so-so looking, their BLANK will be the main factor in making them sexy or making them unattractive. For me it would be intelligence. If I meet a guy who is so-so, his intelligence will determine if he is attractive or unattractive. If he opens his mouth and turns out he is very smart, then he becomes extremely sexy. If he is a dummy, then he becomes unattractive and no longer cute. What about you?
irin Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 a persons character, i dont know how to describe it, its just the way they are. i guess loyalty. not two faced, not bitchy (there are lots bitchy guys worst then girls), just the person they are, its close to personality except a if someone's personality is boring or not exactly funny, they might be introverted these wouldn't effect their character. i look for this in friends also. except a man's character will absolutely determine my attraction to him.:love: i have never been able to look at a picture of man and think he is attractive. unless i speak to them first! 1

I prefer average, rather plain faced guys to being with, but they must be tall, slim/fit, with a full head of hair. What would distinguish one plain man like this from others would be his sense of humor, compatible with mine. 1

I'm still a very physical person regardless though, I prefer a harmonious blend of physical and mental. Besides, average is as much subjective as attractiveness

Welcome to planet Loveshack. I agree with you. I have had compatibility and that comes in second to character... Loyalty, kindness to others, generosity (even though you might not have much), and being down to Earth and humble. Yes, I'm thinking of someone in particular. Way harder to find than a pretty face or a person with many degrees from good schools. 1

Though I differentiate attractive and attraction. For me no matter the personality trait that so-so looking person would still be so-so looking to me. They may be emotionally attractive or mentally attractive not physically attractive. What about you? I'm different. If a guy is so-so looking no matter his personality he's not going to be physically attractive to me. If a guy is attractive no matter his personality he's still going to be physically attractive to me. 3

Nothing can pull my strings like knowing someone's happiness depends on how I feel about them

But, a woman who owns herself and her body is a major turn-on for me. Outlandish hair dyes, mohawks, reasonably tasteful piercings and tattoos. A seriously punked out girl does it for me. Failing any of those traits, a good dose of demonstrable attitude-driven confidence. Head held high. Doesn't take ****, but doesn't dish ****, either. Dresses well, but not killer. I just like women who own themselves. Massive turn-on.

It would be what some people of my generation call 'a big heart', meaning that ability to nearly instantly facilitate a person feeling cared about and heard and empathized with. I can think of one example, a CEO's wife that I know, who's really nothing to look at but never ceases to amaze me with her beauty. She's also, not surprisingly, a very loyal wife and mother of three, married now for around 20 years to her first and only husband. She worked her magic with me awhile back after my mother died. I think I posted a little ditty about that here on LS. Someone I can aspire to emulate. 1
