A friend of mine is wanting to fix me up with a girl he's friends with. I've only seen her picture once and have only been told a little about her. One of those things being she had her GFs over to her condo for a sex toy party. I'm assuming it was more likely a girl's night in drinking wine and what not. Seeing that I've never attended a sex toy party, I have no idea what they really entail and if making a judgement about her for having one is unreasonable. Does it sound skanky? Maybe I sound like a prude. IDK.

hahaha your imagination is running wild, isn't it?

I assume sex toy parties are the same as tupperwear parties except for the product type. Ie someone comes around with a bunch of stuff they want to sell like lingerie, toys, etc and girls giggle a bit and buy a rabbit

haha seriously? It's a type of vibrator that used to be fashionable (no idea if it still is). I think 'Sex and the City' girls popularised it

It's definitely an indicator that she is not opposed to masturbating or to being open about her sexuality. Is that a red flag to you?

just a laugh and a girls' night out, i hope you want to date such a funster or do you want a prude? some go frigid/selfish and you get a sexless self-righteous "no" with a prude, not lately, but there have been such marital hells as this on LS before now

Are vibrators a form of unfaithfulness? Or does a sexual woman equal a cheater? Please explain. I'm confused.

Yes seriously. I'm clueless about these things.I've never even seen one in person. Maybe I should watch a few episodes of Sex in the City so she doesn't think I live in a cave.

they are called toys cuz they're about playing, some are nice some are not my cup of tea, but one thing is certain a vibrator never argues or comes home soaked in whiskey not like some men

When you put it that way, no its not a red flag, its a big green one! :)

All joking aside, participating in a sex toy party indicates nothing about a girl's morals or character other than she's probably comfortable with her own sexuality and doesn't find sexuality in general to be covert or shameful.

If this attitude would make you uncomfortable, then maybe the sex toy party could be a red flag for you. Or, maybe a girl like this could open up whole new vistas for a guy who is uncomfortable about sexuality.

That's a good point M, my first reaction was to question her moral integrity. I'm glad I asked, I now see exactly what you are saying.

I'm still curious as to why firehawk_1 thinks that only an indecent person who wants to be cheated on would be fine with dating this girl. Because of a sex toy party. Please explain.

No not a red flag!

Hey, remember the guy who got invited to one of these parties and thought he was supposed to show up with his flesh light and condoms or whatever? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think they're generally referred to as "Passion Parties"... If you end up dating her, this could be a good thing for you! It's not just vibrators and dildos. There's just as much stuff at those to try with a partner than by themselves, and most of the ladies that go to them are looking to spice things up with a partner.

LOL yeah I had to google it when the guy had started that thread.

Anyway I had a friend who hosted Passion Parties. They were really more annoying than anything, expensive stuff and a pushy sales lady

Stop the presses, this might be a red flag for you after all, if you pick the yucky face icon after seeing a rabbit vibrator.

They are as cute as vibrators get my friend.

I'd hate to see your level of disenchantment with a 10 inch black penis shaped dildo. :)

These are just a slightly more interesting modern version of the bygone Tupperware or candle parties. In many areas of the country, there are no woman-friendly sex shops, so women who feel uncomfortable browsing in male-oriented porn shops--yet are also wary of buying sex toys over the internet, without being able to test the speed of vibration of whatever (on her hand, on her hand)--go to these Passion Parties. They drink a couple glasses of wine, look at some vibrators, and gossip a little bit about their love lives, in the privacy of somebody's home where nobody is leering at them and they don't have to feel embarrassed. It only suggests that she is comfortable with her sexuality--as others have pointed out, that's a good thing.

That all depends where one is encountered, if its anywhere near my naked behind, then yes I'd be extremely disenchanted:mad:

no worries

because these days, its always about bashing men and getting the hottest guy.... and all the sex toy parties. Then women always say that men think about nothing but sex.... and I just dont like it when things arent true or are hypocritical. thats all! :)

also from experience, I knew someone who always did these sex toy parties and i just didnt like hearing it all the time. it didnt do her image any good either

Where I come from, sex toy parties won't tarnish a woman's image. But if you are uncomfortable with the idea of a woman participating, I'm sure you can date those who would never.
