Qpalzm1 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Hi, So I told a guy I'd been talking to for a bit that we couldn't talk anymore for personal reasons and he was understanding about it. That was Thursday. Today he emailed a clip of a two year old singing Adele saying he knew we weren't supposed to be talking but he thought of me when he saw this ( I told him I loved Adele ). I replied saying how cute it was and I hoped he was doing well and some other thing. He replied and I replied back to which he never responded. I am confused and a little upset because I was just forgetting him finally, now he is completely on my mind. In your opinion did he genuinely just want to send me the clip as a friend or what? Did he want to re-initiate talking? Obviously I know no one knows his motives but I just wanted someone else's opinion...

It's interesting how the moment you lose all the "power" and control in a situation, your interest spikes like it has... Just an observation. Sorry, I have no actual advice for you. 1
2sunny Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 He needed you for his ego feed. He used YOU for that... But YOU ALLOWED it the minute you responded. He walked away with all your power because he never responded to your last email. Next time - don't ALLOW it . Don't respond! Don't hand him YOUR POWER by responding at all. It will only set you back. Get busy living. An email doesn't show interest - he's just fishing for his ego fix he knows you're likely to give him.
