messages from woman in their 40's????????

I;m confused again. I thought a woman go for guys who are 5 years older than them and sometimes 10. So I can't figure out why a woman who is 43 is leaving a guy a message who is mid 30's. Shouldn't she be contacted a 49/50 year old guy?

This happens on telephone dating and internet dating. I really need a 2 month break from all of these because I'm getting annoyed.

Every female I been out with always was younger than me. When I was 21 I went out with 17 year old, 28 I went out with 21/22 year old, and lately,I prefer 26-33.

And what does this statement mean below??????????????

"I know I'm 44 but I LOOK 32? WTF????

I'd love to date a woman 5 years or so older than me, but they're never interested (let alone email me first). So maybe she was just taking a chance that you'd be interested. Who knows.

Guys above 40 50 just don't have the same appeal as a guy in his thirties. Why do you get so upset anyway? Just don't respond! I never respond to the old guys who message me either.

If you have her picture, you'll probably see why she isn't being contacted by 49/50 year old guys.

It doesn't matter what it means. Internet dating is full of people with impossibly high standards, people who are 3-4/10, but won't settle for anyone who's less than a 9/10. That's why they're on the Internet looking for dates to start with. Grain of salt.

It's just a reminder that I'm old and I been take advantage of this opportunity.

I wish it was a feature that you was able to set that prevented people outside your age preference from sending you a message.

BTW: Just hearing 40 anything gives me a nauseated feeling.

What are you going to do in a few years when YOU are 40-something?

Or it could be that you look old or you're very unattractive so those girls think it's ok to message you lol

An 8-year difference in age:

So I can't figure out why a woman who is 43 is leaving a guy a message who is mid 30's.

A 4-year, a 7/6-year, and a 9/2-year difference in age:

When I was 21 I went out with 17 year old, 28 I went out with 21/22 year old, and lately,I prefer 26-33.
So, I really don't see what your point is. In any case, you should tell her what you wrote "you should be contacting a 49/50 year old guy".

Problem solved.

This could be. A few months ago I made up a new profile and listed my age as 35. I got a lot more views and messages than when I had my profile listed as 23. Happens.

I hardly get messaged by women but going by my views on match (I'm 30) they are mostly (in order of most) 30,29,28, with a FEW 25-26 year olds and a FEW 31+ year olds. This proves most every ones point that, exceptons aside, people

STICK to there age range. Now that 26 year old hottie may say she'll date 26-32 but the closer to 32 you are the hotter and more stable you need to be.

Look up the word cougar.

And just because older man/younger woman is more acceptable than younger man/older woman, it doesn't mean that women don't crave a younger guy for sex/relationship.

You are going to have a hard time leaving your house, if you feel nauseated by half the population. It sounds like these are your personal issues. There are no rules about age when dating, as long as you are both adults.

Once you face the fact that you are a middle-aged man, you'll realize women in their 40's are also middle-aged, just like you.

When most people think of old, it's usually anyone 10 years older than themselves. So in your case dating a woman in her mid-forties shouldn't be a problem for you. Do you fear they may be more successful than you?

It's nothing short of miraculous, all the action you are constantly getting from your online dating adventures. Even if some of it is coming from women with one foot in the grave. You must be excessively hot.

at least we haven't gotten to the point where grandparents by and large know how to use the internet dating sites. think how how bad he'll suffer then, when it's one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel.

its not necessarily the norm, age difference can be on either end. the man older, or the women. we just see more with older men chasing younger women! just be flattered by it. and also if they look good to you, what does it matter their age?

I don't feel so good about it either, but I'm adjusting.

I know people who have had normal social lives, who freak out over turning 40. I was wondering if I would feel better about it, if I'd had more of a normal life, and not missed out on certain things, but I'm not so sure about that, because I loved turning 30 (whereas others seemed to be feeling like they were about to be shot).

PhillyDude, why do you want to be in a relationship with a woman or even date one when you despise them so much?

It's intriguing that you are able to maintain the motivation to continue interacting with women when they seem to constantly fail at meeting your standards. Aren't you a little sick of it all yet?

What exactly do you have to offer to a 20something year old?

Tell me why I should date you?

You are unemployed, you are a jerk, you apparently like to kick people when they are down.

So explain to me the part where you are a catch?

I think he said in his other thread he was 6'5" and good-looking. And he must have an empty profile. :lmao:

I don't understand the OP at all. He's been doing online dating for a long time. The guy gets a lot more attention online than most of the guys on this website. I get more attention offline than online.

If he is so good-looking, why isn't he in a relationship with some blonde bombshell? There are plenty of confident, young, attractive women who don't have any problems hitting on guys that they like.

Is it shyness? I remember a few girls who lost interest in me because I'm pretty quiet and serious. I know that the OP mentioned that he was shy. If you're that shy, you should focus on building up your confidence. Is it because the OP has rigid standards of what women should say and do?

I remember a couple women on this website mention how they lost interest in a guy because he was too quiet on their first date. I wonder if this is because women don't care about looks as much as guys do. While guys go crazy if a girl is hot, a girl might quickly lose interest in a cute guy if his body language and tone of voice portrays a lack of confidence.
