PrettyMissy Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Is it common for someone to lose interest right after the first date, and how often does this happen?
january2011 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I'd imagine it's quite common for people who initially meet via the internet and then meet in-person. I don't have any hard data though - perhaps another poster will come along with some. Why do you ask?
oaks Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Is it common for someone to lose interest right after the first date, and how often does this happen? Of the 20 or so first dates I had in the last year and a half, about three quarters didn't result in a second date. Sometimes I lost interest before the first date was over, and sometimes she wasn't interested in me (and I'm sure sometimes it was mutual but we didn't compare notes). These were people I met via online dating sites. So, it's common for me.
counterman Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I can't speak for others but it has been very common for me. Though, I wouldn't necessarily call it a failure. In fact, I haven't had a second date in a few years... I've had girls lose interest in me after the first date and I've lost interest in girls after the first date. Just gotta keep trucking on
