The vast majority of women these days are bisexual. It's the new "in-thing" with women to be bisexual. If I walk into a room with 5 women, 4 are guaranteed to be bisexual. So most guys have a bisexual chick anyway. You're thread is redundant.

By the way, I'm open to my chick banging other chicks on the side as long as she's cool with me banging chicks on the side too.

I would agree it is the new "in-thing" although women will tell you its not. Its obvious it is. Although you just pulled the 4 out of 5 thing from your ass.

Although her thread isn't redundant because its very real most women don't refer to themselves as bisexual. I'd be open to my chick banging another chick on the side in certain specific scenarios. Never been in that situation before though.

I had that relationship, with a very special girl, who I still have a soft spot for today many years later. She was an amazing girl, my best friend, we had an amazing sex life and she fulfilled every sexual desire I had, and wanted to do the same for her. I am NOT down with my girlfriend wanting another guy, because she can get from me what she can get from him. Another girl however, that is something I can't provide, so if she wanted to be with another girl, so be it. She didn't do it all the time, she never did it behind my back, it never harmed our relationship, and I was glad to know that I allowed her to be her 100%, because what a great girlfriend she was to me.

This with one mention.

Most women think they are bisexual because at one point they thought 'oh, i wonder how it would be to have sex with a girl ... but if i can have sex with her i will surely love her'.

These women are not bisexual, they are simply straight women who have had sex with another woman or dream of it.

Oh, and open relationship means that the partners get to screw other ppl on the side, not have relationships with them.

What the OP is describing is polyandry, 1 woman ... many men.

So OP, how would you feel about your relationship with your BF being poligyny ?

That is, 1 man, many women.

yep.

Also, she'd have to date another bi-sexual because a lesbian wouldn't be cool with a penis coming around their new GF.

That means 3-ways! Score!

Where did you get this BS stat from? I have tons of female friends and only one of them considers herself to be bisexual.

Have you ever seen two male friends use the excuse of being drunk so they can kiss each other in a bar?

Nope.

So, you are saying that a bisexual woman might be ok with her bisexual gf screwing men ?

Lesbian means she can only love women (doesn't mean she hates men), bisexual means she can love both men and women.

Sexual preferrence is not a blank card for screwing around on your partner.

You will generally not see this because the dynamic between male friends is different than the dynamic between female friends.

That and in a society that was at one point patriarchal, men are afraid of the label gay, which incidently explains why there are not many men who have sex with other men but are not bisexual/gay ... as opposed to women doing the same thing.

I think that's why the guy in question (and maybe guys in general) don't care that much if a girlfriend has sex or gets emotional with other women. They see it as 'cute' and a 'girly' thing. It's almost like their girlfriend having a 'best female friend' who they do sexual things with as opposed to a replacement relationship or a threat to the male/female relationship.

Indeed, female friends are often ready to get it on. Male friends never are. That's the whole point.

Interesting.

1. The word "patriarchy" is a semantic nullity, like bigfoot or leprechaun, we know what it is supposed to mean, but it doesn't actually -exist- in the world and never did.

2. Arguendo, if there ever were such a thing as a "patriarchy" it would stand to reason that like in Greek culture and the Roman Empire, homosexuality would be -more- open and welcome than not, as men would be valued over women generally.

I'd take it more as 'female friends have more blurry boundaries'.

Take patriarchy to mean 'men in leadership positions'.

I'm talking primarily about the society here, and not referencing the household ... where in asian countries it's more of a matriarchy (women lead the household).

As a man, would you prefer that your daughter was gay or your son. Try to picture first one and then the other ... and see which one would illicit negative feelings more.

nothing is a free pass for screwing around on a partner.

However what op describes is an open relationship.

She can sleep with women & so can i. :)

...and you loved each other, you guys had been together for two years, and things were good. What if she wanted to have an open relationship on her side where she's allowed to see women (but not men)? Would you be okay with that?

Just wondering. 'Cause I know someone in this situation. And he doesn't have a problem with his girlfriend dating other women.

Would it matter to you anyway just because she's enjoying emotional and physical intimacy with other human beings even if they weren't men?

Assuming all other things equal, if you are bisexual and truly love someone with your heart and soul, you wouldn't want to be with anybody else.

Remove that assumption that all other things being equal, you most likely are facing a situation which may have some deep seated desires as a influencing factor that seems to be quite questionable.

My husband has no issues with me sleeping with females. Men he thought he would handle but found out the hard way he couldn't. He's aware of what he calls the hypocrisy but girls he is perfectly fine with and doesn't feel any threat from.
