*edit* maybe this isn't that fitting in "Coping", but I figured it might help encourage some people dealing with a loss :)

Hey all,

So I've posted a few times in this section of the forum because I've been having a rough time dealing with feelings for an ex I broke up with several weeks ago. I went NC on sunday, but UNFORTUNATELY, I had some business things to take care of regarding a ticket that I had purchased for her that was being given to my dad. The first day was rough, but ever since I've talked a bunch of my friends and family, I have felt new a sense of revival. Started looking back into my Catholic roots a little and it's gotten me back on track.

Long story short, I had to text her, though I didn't really care because all it took was a little bit of an awakening to realize that I did the right thing in breaking up with her. Told her to not take anything personal but that I blocked her on facebook so that I didn't have to even worry about what she might be doing. She, of course, being a giant C-word (the only thing I can even use to describe her anymore), started being rude and sarcastic...and the only thing I could do was smile and laugh!

I made SUCH a good call haha! Some people will never change, and sorry, being such a spiteful, grudge-holding person will get you nowhere in life....ironically, when she still liked me, I can't even IMAGINE why she always felt like she had no real friends.

Lesson learned here, everyone...the moment you start living for only your significant other, you will have just died. Have a good day, and take time to smile a little and you'll remember why life is worth living, with a significant other or not.
