I was reading posts in another forum where this guy was saying he couldn't get a woman and he said he would love to have a female stalker so I was wondering do you guys ever wish you had a stalker?

No, I've had a few and can honestly say they are exhausting.

Take that logic farther its like do you wish you had a rapist?

Obviously a guy can be all funny and say haha I wish I had a hot rapist or a hot stalker. Wouldn't really be rape or stalking though.

If you do get stalked it will most likely be by some guy who is completely disrespecting you by showing up at your work and home and scaring you and intimidating you buy crossing many boundaries. Same as if you get raped it will be by some guy who either slipped something in your drink or beat the crap out of you and did you in the butt.

It's not going to be some teenage beauty queen flashing her boobs at you from the bushes. I mean if it was a woman stalking you she'd probably do some freaky sht like leave dead cats on your door. She'd probably be horrible looking. Also she'd probably accuse you of raping her or beating her up. Like you'll be arrested and she'll say "thats the man who raped me and beat me up" later if you're lucky she'll drop the charges and comming running at you saying "do you still love me" and then scratch your eyes out.

Stalking is no joke its like the boogie man to women. I mean most women never get stalked. But its that one story of a girl who gave out her business card then got called 1000 times in one day and had a guy break into her house and leave dead crickets in her fridge that scares every girl.

I don't let scared girls change the way I live my life because I know... driving past a girls house in the middle of the night just to see it is fun! So is peeping through a window... jk.. or am I/

Oh I honestly wouldn't want a stalker, besides if I ever had a stalker it would probably be another dude who for some reason hates me and wants to see me suffer not a semi-attractive woman. But yeah I saw that forum and I was like what, really. I don't get stalking myself sounds like a lot of hard work and alot of time.

Stalking is basicaly when a guy is really angry at a girl who he refuses to engage normaly for not loving him back as much as he thinks he loves her because he calls all the time and watches her all the time like a maniac. He also probably wants to rape or hurt her. At a minimum he has no problem completely scaring her by acting crazy around her.

a lot of girls will call a guy comenting on their fb pics or showing up at their work once to say "hi" stalking though.

Still that's alot of work you have to follow person around do hours of research on them and all of this other stuff Stalkers have way too much time and energy. If a girl rejects me while for a little while it hurts and if it was public I feel extremely embarassed I get over it quickly and go back to doing what I do, and she is no longer attractive to me in my eyes. Not become ultra persistent. Though it isn't good for the self-esteem when you have a 100% failure rate but its all good.

Stalking is a criminal act and it's a word that is thrown around inappropriately a LOT. Basically to most people, stalking is attention from someone they aren't attracted to.

Sid3, you have had "a few" stalkers? Really now?

If someone truly has a stalker, the police need to be involved. I guess the flippant usage of this word is one of my pet peeves. The vast majority of people will NEVER have a stalker...but oddly enough, the vast majority will claim they have had one / some

These guys havn't necesarily ever asked the girl out or even met her. They might have spotted her once in traffic then decided to follow her home. Then they park infront of her house each day and watch. Maybe nock on her door pertending to be new to the neighborhood all the while becoming obsessed. It's not tiring for them because they are maniacs its like rest from being sane which really tires them out. For a maniac acting normal is tiring and being crazy just comes natural... geez do I have to explain everything to you?

I know why they do it, they are obsessed, I just think its pretty silly to get that obsessive over someone and its obvious they have nothing better to do.

You mean you've never wanted to call a girl over and over again till she picks up the phone as many times as it takes... each time leaving the same msg but angrier "still calling why arn't you picking up" "hey its me PICK UP THE PHONE!" until the voice mail box is full... then still calling and calling and then txting too, even txting about leaving msg's and that the voice mail is full...

Going on their facebook and acting like you to are going out, sending relationship requests when you've never really met them.

You think its crazy to just watch some one from the bush's and work yourself up over the days, weeks, months even for what you're going to do next. How she has to be yours or else....

Yeah you're right that is silly, silly stalkers!

I thought this thread would be funnier.

Is it funny to have some one you don't know act like they know you and start a fight posibly physical screaming "Why don't you love me, WHY! I DID EVERYTHING FOR YOU!"

Is that funny?

If you had wanted to start a funny thread you would have gone all the way and asked "Ever wish you could get raped?" or how about "Ever wish you were molested as a child." Now that would have been some dark humor.

I'm not going to lie I'm having a good time with this thread, why arn't you?

If these are the stalkers its all good.:lmao:

People on this forum have accused me of being a stalker because at one point I had planned on waiting at a crowded bus stop for somebody to walk buy so could talk.

Yeah, that's totally what a stalker is.

A stalker would wait for them to walk by so they could stalk... you see you forget to put the s infront of talk

Heh, I actually forgot to put the we in front of could.

I know where she lives so there were far creepier things I could have done then wait for her at a public place crowded with people.

That's not stalking at all (which you know), but I'm not surprised people labeled it as that

Did anyone notice that when you search on someone's name and click their posts, it just goes to the main screen now most of the time? There goes my LS stalking.

Seriously, though, I ended up with a stalker last year, and I finally had to send a letter to his family telling them I'd report him to the police for harassment if he didn't disappear. That shut him up for a while, but he sent me some cheesy YouTube video tonight, a weird remix about overcoming the odds, saying this summarizes his "feelings" toward me. Creep!

I'm glad I know a bouncer now, because he already offered to beat this guy's ass if he bugs me anymore. At the very least, I might let him give him a call. I do my best on my own, but it seems to me that nothing will scare off a crazy man like the intimidation of a stronger man. I'll probably just ignore him, though.

Not to the point where she was showing up everywhere I was. Or making lame Youtube videos for me, poor Ruby.

A girl who has the unending hots for me, posting on my facebook occasionally, calling me every now and then to gauge interest? That I don't mind.

I don't think most women mind that either, from a guy.

No I have no desire to be stalked, pretty much for the reasons people have already covered.

I've not had problems with ex boyfriends being stalkerish. Problems I've had have tended to be work-related. I've had a few fairly freaky clients and one colleague who was a problem (ie calling me at home, visiting my flat on my days off and trying to persuade me to let him in etc).

In certain occupations it's just going to happen. Some stalkerish types will be put off early on by a detached, professional manner....but with others, that will just make them worse as they get more and more determined to "knock you off your high horse".

My first job in law was particularly difficult in that the senior partner had no qualms about using me as something to "show off" to his criminal clients. More than once I found myself getting called down to his office on some transparent pretext, introduced to disreputables who would be gawking offensively and whispering sniggering comments to my boss who would smile enigmatically and say "yes, she is...isn't she?" Not particularly helpful, in terms of discouraging some very dodgy clients from looking at you in a sexual, predatory manner.

You can't take stalkerish behaviour personally....whether in terms of being flattered by somebody being so obsessed by you, or insulted/frightened by somebody who's practically a stranger developing an obsessive hatred for you. People like that just have an issue that they carry around with them, looking for a convenient person to attach it to. It might be your hair colour, physical build, a certain phrase you used, perfume you wear...or just the fact that you're in some way accessible to them (eg client/professional relationship).

I have a stage5 clinger I met on OLD that won't leave me alone.

I literally told this woman to leave me alone & she comes back with "what is it you are trying to say?"

Every few weeks she txts me wanting to know if i'm ever going to talk to her again.

you gotta be pretty hard up to want a stalker.

The ways that women 'stalk' men are completely different than the ways men 'stalk' women.

I've witnessed it both ways. You don't want it.

I used to stalk.

No, it's true.

When I was like 9.

I'd find out where she lived, ride my bicycle over to her house at night and drop off roses or other flowers on the door step.

I'd leave secret little "I like you!" notes in her desk at school.

I'd get on the bus earliest so I could pick the choicest seat and save it for her, and tell all my friends to not let her sit by them.

I'd attach playing cards to my bike wheels so the flapping sound would attract her attention when I rode around the block 8 times in a row.

Yep. Used to "Stalk" big time.

Back when it was called being a

SECRET ADMIRER

Sigh. So, NOW, gone are the days of "romantic mystery", replaced by fear, paranoia and law suits.

Then again, most fear driven aspects of our society are PROFITABLE so.... well.... do the math

Wow...I'm sorry but there is a big difference between a stalker and a secret admirer doll, it's plain to see that you've had neither. A secret admirer sends flowers and leaves you nice little notes and cards with messages on them that make you smile. I had a stalker once, he started off by leaving me notes on my car describing one thing in particular that he'd like to do to me. He told me that he had my picture printed on his bedsheets so that everytime he masturbates, he does so on my face. By the end of it, when I finally had to get the police involved, he broke into my house when I was at work and left me his 'calling card' on my pillow.....so please, lets not talk about things we know nothing about....ok?

Agree with veggirl on this, it is an overused word. Overusing it detracts from people who really experience it an need help.

To the topic, no I don't wish to have a stalker.

secret admirer actions can also be persecuted like stalking actions now days, even if they are not as bad

I can 100% understand the "logic" behind wanting a stalker in your life, because I'd love to have one myself...it's quite simple. At least for guys, those who do not get much, if any, female attention in their life would welcome any form of it, and a stalking is essentially attention on overdrive. Someone who isn't used to receiving any sort of attention from women welcome with open arms a girl, albeit slightly crazy, who actually cares enough to even want to stalk him. It can be a very new and exhilerating feeling. And it's better than nothing.
