I have been trying to grow a respectable beard/goatee for........a million years thus far and all my genes will allow is for about 171 hairs to grow directly on my chin that seem to have been the same inch in length for ever now. My mustache is a bit better but won't wrap under so I can have an official goatee...

It pisses me off because as much as people tell me to be happy that I don't have a beard...I am a man, i want a beard/goatee lol. My tiny beard gets made fun of all the time...i almost shaved it 2 weeks ago but couldn't bring myself to as we have been through so much lol...can't just give up on him just yet.

So ladies what is your view on the baby face look (I'm 24) and the rugged man stubble look which seems to be the preference.

I prefer clean shaven. Depending on the guy, a well groomed goatee is cute. But never a beard or mustache. My husband is part asian and I honestly don't think any facial hair on asian men is attractive. *shrugs*

Depends on the man.

But stubble is not great for long-periods of kissing.

Scruffy when they are menstruating, clean shaven otherwise. Trust me. My aunt's friend's hairstylist said so.

Ditto! Though, sometimes a little stub looks good too.

But no soul patches.

I've been shaving every few days. Going for the Dr. House look. Do women like it better or worse? I don't know. I didn't consult with any.

Shave! For the love of God, shave. In my opinion, every man in the world looks better without facial hair. There are no exceptions. There is nothing hotter than a guy with a smooth, clean-shaven face. I hate stubble. It doesn't make you look rugged, it just makes you look homeless. And kissing a guy with stubble is like rubbing sandpaper against your face.

Of course, this is just my opinion. There are some women out there who prefer guys with facial hair. I don't know why, it baffles me. I actually refuse to kiss my boyfriend if he goes too long without shaving.

The irony is that shaving it too much actually causes the skin to be rough and bumpy, rather than smooth. Gilette is definitely NOT the best a man can get .

I just go to my barber in Streatham and let him sort it out :D. The many advantages of having black skin that doesn't crack.....

Of course shaving too much is bad. But most men shave every morning without a problem. There's no need to shave more often than that. If shaving once a day causes rough and bumpy skin, that means there's a problem with your razor, your technique, or your water. Or you just have unusually coarse facial hair.

I generally prefer a clean-shaven guy; kissing is definitely preferable this way. But over the years with a boyfriend or two, I've learned to appreciate the slight stubble thing, too. Sometimes it makes them look kinda hot in an unkempt way. There was even a time when my ex-boyfriend grew a beard fully, and though I was generally against this atrocity, one night in bed I actually found it kinda hot, like he was a primitive cave man ravaging me.

If it's either/or, though, clean-shaven all the way.

My ex had a baby face and could hardly grow anything. He had zero chest hair and i loved it.

But I'm now mostly attracted to stubble, like 5 o'clock shadow type. SUPER sexy. So manly. mmmm

A small patch of hair under the bottom lip. Also known as the "flavor saver"

I love stubble, and beards, but only on a man that can grow a good beard. If it is patchy--shaved is always better.

I cannot stand facial hair on a man. It's for ugly men or men with bad skin.

What about Tom Selleck? Don't you think he's gorgeous?

Baby face of course.

Hey FitChick what do you think of Bradley Cooper? It's I think I look a lot better with a goatee. Some men can pull looking good with clean or a goatee but usually you look better with facial hair or without facial hair.
