surfer67 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I had a thing with a guy (Liam), we are both in college, that lasted a few months. He liked me for a while, but I had a boyfriend. My boyfriend and I broke up and liam and i started our "thing". We were basically dating because we were exclusive and were together all the time. But he has never had a relationship before, I think he is afraid of commitment. After a few months, Liam began to seem to slip away and I told him if he was over our "thing" he could be straight with me and just tell me. He said he would. But after a while, he did disappear. I called him out again and he confessed he just didnt know what to say because he liked hanging out with me, etc. We havnt talked in two months. He told me I was the closest thing he ever had to a relationship. But nothing was wrong between us, everything was fine. Did he just run because he was scared or is he just a jerk?
Philosoraptor Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Sounds like he was scared, but more scared to end things. Many do not want to face the person they are hurting so they either disappear or try to make the other person end it.

sid3 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 He's a jerk for sure. The grass looked greener to him is the most likely cause of his disappearing. Chances are that he lied to you as well. So its a good thing he's gone. You can do better.
veggirl Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Nah I don't buy the scared thing. Is he 5 yrs old? I mean come on. He's never even had a gf, knows nothing of heartbreak...there's nothing to be scared of.
