Hello everyone, I just ran into this forum a while back and would like to personally thank everyone here.

My name is 'Matteo' and this is my life story. I am sorry, normally I keep to myself but not now. I am nearly 18 now, but I feel so much older.

I was born into a lower class Asian family. My father suffers from Cerebral palsy, which has greatly scorned my Mothers and Fathers relationship. 3 years ago my father lost his job, we were going to lose everything. I was raised as an Islamic 'priest', at that moment in time I had just finished high school (got on a scholarship.) I lived in an area riddled with gangs, prostitution and drugs. However, I never fell into the wrong crowds but I was always a fighter.

I had to start drug dealing to make ends meet, it still haunts me to this day. In January of 2011 I lost my younger brother to an overdose. Which sent me off the deep end. There had been 12 people that night, no one saved him they all ran while I was passed out. I woke up to my little brothers corpse.

In March of 2011 I lost my elder brother Adil, to a knife attack. We were together and I was meant to get hit. Instead of me dying, he pushed me out of the way and bled to death. After that I left everything and refused to keep in contact with anyone from my high school who were all worried sick. I had literally disappeared. There was a girl called 'Anna', she loved me so dearly. But in order to keep her life safe I ran away, she tried looking for me for 2 years.

I can't write the rest now it is too much, I am sorry but when I feel stronger I shall.

That is a lot to go through.

But don't let it hold you back. Stay away from illegal activities and people who get involved in such activities. Focus on educating yourself to improve your situation. Save money for night school if you can. Make smart choices and don't let your background hold you back. Be someone who can overcome their upbringing. Someone who can lead a respectful and honourable life.

Wow. Just wow. As bad as your story is now, imagine how inspirational it could be years from now after you turn everything around and thrive in life. You could go on to be a motivational speaker after overcoming the things you have faced. Stay strong and keep posting!
