Meg717 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 One of my college friends set me up with this guy that found out I am recently single. She used to hook up with him while we were in school (almost 7years ago) and I had a feeling he kind of liked me then. He would buy me little things and always ask to hang out but I would obviously never do anything with him to hurt her. So fast forward now.. me and this guy are talking bc I guess he asked her to contact me. I should also add she has a bf and they've been together a while. Now she's saying she thinks she loves another guy and we're referring to him as "person b" and I have a strong feeling it's the guy I'm talking to!! I told her she needs to talk to "person b" bc he might not feel the same way about her. What do I do?
cerridwen Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 What's preventing you from simply asking your friend if her love interest is Person B? She could very well say "no" in which case, you're in the clear to proceed.
threebyfate Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 She's already got an SO. Proceed with this guy and if you lose her friendship, that's her problem for being petty, not yours. You have no idea who Person B is and have no obligation to maintain distance based on a guess. 2
