What is the compliment you hear most often from others?

For me, it is my hair. I have a cool haircut and thick red hair, and people are always complimenting me on it, and wanting hair advice from me.

It used to be Smile then Eyes. More recently I've had compliments on my butt, but I can't see it myself.

If it's a guy that's more serious about me - always my eyes first.

If it's later on in the relationship, OR if it's all about physical stuff, it's always the butt! :p Hell, I'll take it!

3 things in equal measure.

Nice teeth

Extremely shiny eyes

Massive butt

Weird but in that order

I don't get anything extremely flattering, like "your eyes are amazing" or "your hair is fabulous"

I get complimented a lot just for being fit/thin, having a toned/small body.

Also, my face. But people don't say "you have a nice face," obviously. Just the run-of-the-mill 'pretty' 'cute' thing.

Nothing in particular. "you're hot" or "you're pretty". Sometimes I'll get a butt compliment, cause I'm thin but have a little bit of a butt, I guess. I don't see it. But that's it.

Women compliment my hair, legs, and outfits.

Men compliment my eyes, smile, and boobs.

Both compliment my laugh, hand shake, and how easy it is to talk to me.

My sarcastic humor.

Posted

My hair, eyes, legs, skin tone/color.

That's about it (I'll leave the non-physical traits out, that's personal stuff. ;))

My propensity to take time and listen and care about people.

A couple of my exW's female friends used to compliment me on my facial features, generally my eyes and lips.

Since most people see me in jeans and a t-shirt or coveralls and a cap a large part of the time, when I 'dress up' for formal events, I've heard compliments about that. I guess I look different. I remember the office staff of one customer not even recognizing me when I stopped in on the way to a business meeting dressed appropriately, even though they had interacted with me for years as a 'greasemonkey' vendor.

A good friend's wife once told me I don't take compliments well. This is probably because I don't have much practice. Practice makes better.

In order of frequency:

1 - eyes

2 - lips/smile

3 - butt

4 - back

5 - hands

Best compliment? Big heart.
