Ghisop Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Just curious to get thoughts on some things I've seen on here... What are people's thoughts about starting long distance when you never have met someone? I've always been of the belief that ldr's cab work if there is a foundation there first ( this may be myself being hopeful since that is my own situation- I totally admit it!!). I also think that some kind of end date to the distance- something to look forward to. Again this is my own hopeful wishes. I'm curious if there are any success stories in the other way
TMichaels Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Ghisop, There's plenty of stories to learn from in this forum. Spend a few hours looking through the archives. But yes, generally most who have posted here about their experiences tend to agree that a LDR without an end date is basically a recipe for heartbreak and disaster. Best of luck, TMichaels
creighton0123 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 In talking with you all on here, I have found that your average, adult LDR that has both a foundation in person AND an end date in mind all end successfully with the reunion of the couple in question. That being said, an open-ended long distance relationship with someone you've never met in person tends to be the least ideal type of romantic encounter.
