Bob_Funk Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Here's Christopher Atkins at 19. His visage is immortalized in this pic. Forever beautiful. Forever young. He looks just like a guy I went to college with who was always surrounded*by hot girls. While I was researching suicide methods, he was enjoying unimaginal pleasures that would make Xerxes blush. Here's Christopher Atkins at 48. Just tragic. Moving on... Leonardo Dicaprio at 21. A 10/10 for sure. Leonardo Dicaprio at 35. He might as well be an old man. Heath Ledger at 18. I'll say it: he's gorgeous. Heath ledger at 27. Barely in his late 20's and whatever looks he had are all but gone. This is depressing. These guys all started out so high too. Beauty is incredibly fleeting.
RachR Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I just registered so I can ask you, Whaaaaat are you talking about? They look good! Lots of men look better with age (Timothy Olyphant anyone? Mmm) 5
Dust Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 They all looked better older. Life isn't all about being baby faced. I'm 28 now and don't feel old and hope never to feel old. I'd be very happy to make it to a ripe old age and still be able to take care of myself. The cruel reaility of aging for me is the invetible death gets that much closer. Obviously you can die as a baby or kid or what ever. Thing is you know aging will get you if nothing else does. Die of old age.... someting big will shut down on you or you'll trip and break apart like humpty dumpty at 100 years old. Then again you can't have life with out death. 6
ScreamingTrees Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 OP's crazy. Heath Ledger looked much better as he matured. Most of them had very child-like profiles.. Well, what do ya know? They were all young as hell. Their features were undeveloped, compared to their older profiles. Out of all of them, Chris Atkins looked the least attractive, objectively speaking, both younger and older. Did he do a lot of drugs and ****? I can't imagine him being so freaking wrinkly at 48 unless he did a lot of tanning or SOMETHING.. Maybe he just had **** genes, who knows, but he ain't a good example of someone who got uglier over time.. At least, from those pictures, he was probably never particularly striking to begin with. Leonardo and Heath both looked as great or better with age. Then again, I'm a heterosexual male (just trying to be objective), so I guess you could take what I say with a grain of salt.

Seriosly if I went through life looking like a 50 year old man I'd probably get more tail then a guy who went throug life looking like a teenager. Could you imagine being in high schooling walking in every one expects you to start teaching the class and in a gruff mans voice you just say "I'm a freshmen" haha the girls would go crazy.
Anela Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I just registered so I can ask you, Whaaaaat are you talking about? They look good! Lots of men look better with age (Timothy Olyphant anyone? Mmm) Timothy Olyphant was one I meant to add to the celebrity crush thread that was posted in January.
Dust Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Timothy Olyphant was one I meant to add to the celebrity crush thread that was posted in January. He looks happy in that picture the OP put up. I half expected to see a sickly deranged looking man. People also look older in a picture then when you see them in person moving around and such. Camera adds 10lbs to your rinkles. 1
TaraMaiden Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 The cruel reality of ageing is that some people worry so much about getting old they forget to simply enjoy where they're at, at the moment. They look behind them and yearn for youth, they look ahead and dread what may come - they completely ignore now, and what utter fun they could be having..... 4
kaylan Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) I dont agree with the others. I wont be silly and pretend those guys didnt look better younger. Youth is attractive. Tight wrinkle free skin is attractive. Theres a reason those guys were heartthrobs for all the teenage girls and 20-something women when they were in their own teens and 20s. The thing about celebs is a lot of them get into drugs and drink to much. Or they smoke. Hell, in general most people dont take great care of themselves as they get older. Jennifer Aniston might have been sexier to me when she was 25, but shes still hot as hell at 42 because she takes care of that body. Like they say "black dont crack" and Ill be passing for a younger age my whole life as long as I stay healthy. Im glad I have that extra melanin in my skin. PS - Ive always been jealous of Timothy Olyphants genetics. Hes one of those dudes who stay good looking no matter what his age. Plus he takes great case of himself. Edited April 2, 2012 by kaylan
Titania22 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Hell yeah, why do you think I go for the youngens. So pretty!
Anela Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 PS - Ive always been jealous of Timothy Olyphants genetics. Hes one of those dudes who stay good looking no matter what his age. Plus he takes great case of himself. I started watching repeats of Justified, in January, because the story was good, from what I'd seen. Now it's so convoluted, that I just watch it for him and the character.
phineas Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Like they say "black dont crack" and Ill be passing for a younger age my whole life as long as I stay healthy. Im glad I have that extra melanin in my skin. It's funny you mention this. Every black guy I know is about 10yrs older than I originally thought they were. BLOWS MY MIND. I can't comment on the women because asking a black woman her age would get me slapped upside the head. hard. LOL!
irin Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 i think these guys had something in common they are all blonde, maybe that has something to do with. johnny depp get hotter and hotter as he ages! i dont know why i think being that light has something to do with. sorry for this extremely unscientific statement!
Thieves Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Just had to say that the men listed in the OP don't look too bad for their age. I've seen worse. Much worse... And like Kaylan said, a lot of celebrities fall into the habit of drinking and smoking for so long that, eventually, it catches up to them as they age. Some worse off than others, obviously. And, excuse my French, but for the record: Heath was, and always will be, hot as f*ck. That goes for personality, and looks. 2
gotye Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 your crazy, i expected to see badly aged people not handsomely aged
fucpcg Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 If you get to 40's and beyond (where I am at), and you are measuring of the quality of your life by your appearance, you aren't having a very good or meaningful life. Additionally, if you get into that age group and find yourself unappealing, just know that some of us still have ab's at this age (myself included). Guess it's easier to complain about age then get to the gym... 2
stillafool Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I think Leo still looks pretty good and sexy. However OP is correct, the truth is nothing is going to stop Father Time from doing his job.
angie2443 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I dont agree with the others. I wont be silly and pretend those guys didnt look better younger. Youth is attractive. Tight wrinkle free skin is attractive. Theres a reason those guys were heartthrobs for all the teenage girls and 20-something women when they were in their own teens and 20s. . I'm glad someone else said this. On a purely physical level, people do look better at younger ages (unless they have surgery or something like that). It doesn't make sense the other way around. I think people are adding in wealth and status when saying these guys look better as they get older. Poor old men who have not gained wealth and high status are not going to be seen as more attractive than their younger counterparts. I think this is a joke thread made in response to the other thread where certain men are putting down women for getting older. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, saggy, wrinkly skin is less attractive than younger skin, regardless if you are a man or a woman.
angie2443 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 And, excuse my French, but for the record: Heath was, and always will be, hot as f*ck. That goes for personality, and looks. Heath is dead. There is nothing hot about a decomposing corpse. 1
Mme. Chaucer Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 I'm sure you could have found some pictures of guys who actually did look like crap when they got older; these don't. Maybe it's because I'm old myself, but even though I can see the beauty in the young pictures, I find the older ones more attractive. The young pics you posted are especially childlike, and the older ones look like grown up men. Which I prefer. Not to take away from the inherent beauty of youth, which of course I appreciate. 2
Mme. Chaucer Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Heath is dead. There is nothing hot about a decomposing corpse. Yeah, he is probably one who really does look a lot worse now than he did in his "baby" picture.
Dust Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Heath is dead. There is nothing hot about a decomposing corpse. Hi Ms. Buzz kill I don't think she meant it that way... and if she did thats pretty interesting.
