redrose123 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 I spoke to my exs mom today, she told me he is lonely and she hopes he will grow up one day. Its been 6 weeks since weve broken up. Does that mean he probably isn't dating anyone else and misses me?
Author redrose123 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 I am very close to his mother and she texted to see how I've been.
Chi townD Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Okay, I get that...but why are you concerned if he misses you or if he's dating?

Chi townD Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Sounds like Mom is trying to do a little match making. Nah, I don't think so. Or else why say that she wishes he would grow up. Not a good selling point, or she's a terrible sales person! 1
Author redrose123 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Im concerned because I'm human and still love and care about him. I was with him for over 2 years so it would make me feel better to know he isn't moving on so quickly. And his mom always hoped we'd wind up married one day so maybe shes still hoping we'll reconcile one day. It's just weird she said he's lonely, I didn't even ask how he was.

Okay, it was a poor selling point, but I still feel she is trying to get Redrose to initiate contact so her son isn't sooooo lonely...or he put her up to it? maybe she's tired of seeing him hang around the house, LOL. You said she hoped you would end up married one day===maybe she's still holding out some hope. 1

Author redrose123 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 I know that he is confused about a lot of things in his life now and his Priorities are all messed up so I think that's why she said she wishes he would grow up. She also said "he really is a good person" which was weird because I never told her that I thought he wasnt.. But who knows.. I'm still in NC and aside from working together I don't plan on contacting him 1

The little fellow sounds immature and you need a man; not someone whose Mommy still powders his tush. Again, I reiterate, glad you are keeping NC--you owe this to yourself.
Am313 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 May I ask why you feel better knowing that he isn't moving on quickly? Also, how would you feel if you found out he he moved on, because it sounds like you haven't. Does he miss you? I'm sure he does.
Author redrose123 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 I'd feel better because I would know he had real feelings for me. When someone gets into another relationship so quickly after a break up it makes you feel like you havent meant something to that person for a long time and it hurts even worse. Of course I haven't moved on yet because when you truly love someone you don't jump into another relationship right away, that wouldn't be fair to me or another guy. I am working towards moving on with my life but it's not an over night process. I want to be completely happy on my own before I even think of dating anyone. I think anyone who claims to completely be over someone in just a matter of a few weeks isnt being truthful 2
