While attendinga community college 13 years ago, I met the most beautiful and smart youngwoman. We dated for several months. Then it was time to move on to a 4 yearuniversity. She was going one direction, I had plans to go another. But I choseto follow her to the school she planned on attending. I got a full time job andattended college there full time. Well, the two full time schedules left littletime to see my girlfriend and we drifted apart. One day she saw me and said Idid not have enough time for her and walked out of my life. I never saw heragain...

13 years later,I had a dream of her. Something told me to find her. So I did a google.comsearch and hound an old address for her. Wrote her a short note to say hi andsee how things have been with her. I received a response from her (the letterwas forwarded to her new address) on my birthday. Boy was I surprised. I hadmade plans earlier in the week to re-locate back to my home area (3,500 milesaway). Come to find out that she had moved back to the same area where I wasplanning on moving in the next couple weeks.

We are not moving onas fast as “normal new relationships” do, mainly due to keeping the children’sbest interest in mind. I regret everyday not trying to spend the time with her 13 years ago, but who knows whatwould have happened with us. And ourseparation has provided us both with two amazing little boys.

I really lookforward to getting to know her better over the next, who knows how long. To be quite honest, I have never stoppedthinking of her in 13 years.

I have to say, even though I do not get as much time with her as I would like, she is an amazing woman. Sometimes I am left with no words to express how much I love her...
