She's 25, and I don't want to come on as clingy. Is there a rule of thumb for how often you should send texts to her?

Welcome to LS :)

Call her to confirm the date as part of a brief 'chat', one of one before the date. Save the texting for later.

Listen to Carhill, he is right :) and we know, we know, she probably "loves texting and hates talking on the phone".

If she likes you, you won't come across as clingy. c'mon, would you see her as clingy if she texted you frequently now? probably not, cos you like her and you would be happy to hear from her. so it would be the same for her if she really likes you. it's a good way to recognize compatibility and mutual interest in each other early on, so just text her.

I live by the mantra: if it's the wrong person you can't do anything right, if it's the right person you can't do anything wrong.

works for me.

Save texts for later once you are in an exclusive dating relationship. Until that point, try to minimize all non face to face contacts.
