Necris Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Do you ever have strange thoughts? Do you find it hard to control your thoughts? Why do you think this happens? Is this normal? As for myself I have never been able to control my own thoughts its like there is a part of my mind that just runs wild doing whatever luckily nobody can read my mind. For example I'm sitting down talking to this girl she pulls off her jacket and I see her shoulders and all of a sudden my mind is going "lick her, lick her, lets see how her skin tastes, smell and lick her hair too" and I'm like the f...k chill. Or I'm driving down the street and my mind is telling me to kill myself or kill other people (I'm not actually suicidal or anything these are random thoughts). I also have insane nightmares or super trippy dreams all the time. Though these invasive thoughts are annoying they can be helpful this same crazy part of my mind is also the source of my creativity and every once in awhile I can get some useful insight or information. 1

To be honest what you describe sounds like what is called schizoaffective disorder. I have found that Wellbutrin, an anti-depressant that actually is otherwise good for me and gets me peppy and motivated also gives me a little touch of those crazy compulsive thoughts. I won't even mention what they are but they are not a voice but almost like a voice suggesting the most disgusting act I can think of. I discontinued that drug because clearly it was doing something to my brain that put me in the category of schizoaffective where I definitely don't want to be. I don't know what medication might help. But see a psychiatrist and consider what i said. I have no schizophrenic tendencies otherwise--never. 2

Also isn't schizoaffective disorder bipolar?
