Disenchantedly Yours Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 LOL! There's the genric "mysogonist" rebuttal from one of the ls man-hater's. Oh, you wound me so. LULZ! Give me a break. I don't think you are a misogonist. I do think you should pay more attention to how you think of certain women and how you talk about them. But this does not equate to hating women kind. And many people here know me and know better then to label me a man-hater. And to my credit, just because you've labeled me like that clearly doesn't mean I have to be petty and attach those labels to you. I don't think you hate women. I do think you have some things to work on emotionally with women.
Feelsgoodman Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Awesome! I applaud you in stepping forth to spearhead this crucial movement, to fight for important social change! SHUN THE FATTIES! Now there's some placard material for you! Will you join the movement? We need a token post-menopausal feminist to create the illusion of diversity!
Feelsgoodman Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Maybe. Perhaps this is a truly socio-economic issue. Also depends on the age when they're married. Most poor people these days are not getting married, though (seriously, statistics bear this out, and it's a growing gap) and they're certainly not sitting around kvetching about weight, are they? They've got bigger problems. I work with kids from poor communities (most of the moms I've met are not fat - though some are - or married, frankly) and many are obese as children and teens. The ones who aren't don't seem likely to balloon up in a few years, but perhaps I'm wrong. Yeah, weight is a poverty issue. That's why all those impoverished people in Africa, Asia and Latin America are so overweight. Wait a second... 1

Your in this thread putting down men who prefer to date younger women instead of women your own age. You sound totally but-hurt over this. also, I just don't like you or any other women that puts words in my mouth on this forum or tries to analyze me based on my not tolerating their crap. so you trot out your "you have issues with women" BS. Look around hunny. I don't start threads bashing women or complaining about them & I really don't bash or complain about women in general. I relay my own experiences and observations as I witness them first hand & get accused of being "bitter". LOL! Fact is most of the women here who claim men have issues are the one's who are perpetually single. so, tell me about the guy your dating now? Lulz!
Feelsgoodman Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Haven't read that one yet fitchick. I'm blown away by how sheepish Americans are on this entire subject, and how corrupt the FDA is. Where large government is invested, they protect what they want to protect, and that's not the interest of individual Americans health. Obesity is big business in America. First you get them fat...McDonalds and the like make billions. Then you 'treat' them...preferably as ineffectively as possible. Just keep them alive but unhealthy and consuming as many drugs as possible. Doctors and pharmaceutical companies make billions. Of course, you sometimes have to deal with pesky 'bigots' who claim that obesity is unattractive. But that's where public shaming and the fat acceptance movement come in.
Imported Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Yeah, weight is a poverty issue. That's why all those impoverished people in Africa, Asia and Latin America are so overweight. Wait a second... I don't quite agree. However, I keep hearing from some people how they can't afford healthy foods because it's too expensive. I always tell them to just eat less of the unhealthy food that they can obviously afford too much.....far far far too much of and they'd lose weight. They don't even have to excersize, they just need to eat less. Not even starve themselves (although the first few days might feel like it, because they are grossly misadjusted for what should be enough food per day) and they will lose weight. It will work. No, you are not special where if you burn calories and eat below your maintinance calories that you'd gain weight or not lose any. If that is the case, you should be a science experiment because your body is doing the impossible. I was fat and broke before. I was able to afford 2 whoppers a day because they had a deal $2 two whoppers and for @ 3 months that's what I did. Bought two whoppers and cut them in half and eat the halves spaced out per day. I lost a **** ton of weight. Healthy/unhealthy food and excersize had nothing to do with it, I just ate less.
Author gotye Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 As to which partner lets themselves go I think it's a toss-up after 40 (the age group I actually know) all I know is, i'm a sexy beast with an Atlas belt & I like my women the same. not all women would say an atlas belt makes you a sexy beast i find muscles repulsive
mesmerized Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 not all women would say an atlas belt makes you a sexy beast i find muscles repulsive You sure you're straight? Men who don't have muscles are "ewww" to me! It's such a turn off to touch a man and have fat or bones filling your hands.
phineas Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 not all women would say an atlas belt makes you a sexy beast i find muscles repulsive In my mind, those women are lesbians.

I'm sure most people have heard of the Subway diet made famous by Jared, who was 425 lbs. and who appeared in their commercials.

verhrzn Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 The answer, of course, is just to be fat to begin with. Then you can never get dumped for getting fat. I am working this theory at the amateur level. Observations so far: I haven't been dumped for getting fat. Just for being fat in the first place. Not sure if that supports or negates my theory. Further analysis is required.

verhrzn Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 How are you fat? You weigh like 10 pounds less than me and I never had a guy telling me I'm fat! I'm also gonna guess you're like 5 or so inches taller than me. If I was 5'4" or something my weight would be normal. As it is, I'm 5' 1/2" and vary between 120-130 pounds. With my new diet and exercise, I've toned up in my arms and legs... but my stomach continues to look like a fleshy intertube. Either way, viable theory ya think?

Keep up the diet and exercise until you're happy with how you are. I doubt you have to lose much. No...Why not just be in shape and try to keep your good shape? 1
verhrzn Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 No, I'm only like 3 inches more than you. I guess I just store my weight in good places. You still are NOT fat. Keep up the diet and exercise until you're happy with how you are. I doubt you have to lose much. No...Why not just be in shape and try to keep your good shape? Because maybe people really are just *gasp* naturally fat. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I am. My genetics certainly supports it... my mother, my grandmother, my great-grandmother, all of em have had big bellies, no matter how much they exercised or how they ate. I've seen my mother almost starve herself; her arms, legs, and face were down to almost the bone, but she continued to have a large paunch. Requiring all women to be thin, and to remain thin regardless of life circumstance, is setting up an impossible standard. So I say, why not just be fat right off the bat, if that is the way your body naturally trends? The brillance of lowered expectations and all.
verhrzn Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Do you drink soda? don't do that, it's poison making people fat in the gut. Also, biking is great for legs heart and toning up your stomach area. Are you doing any mid-section exxercizes? like sit-ups? No, I don't drink soda. And... um... sit-ups are great for toning, but only if you lose the fat OVER the abs first. Martial arts have given me fantastic abs-you gotta have em for all the balance kicks we do (a strong core is paramount.) But a fat stomach is caused by, ya know, fat, and since you can't target fat burn, the idea is you have to just burn enough of your fat that eventually it'll reach your stomach. Of course, if your body just refuses to burn body fat past a certain point (as mine does), or it becomes a ridiculous priority (because women actually need a body fat percentage of somewhere around 20-22% to remain reproductively healthy), and you STILL have the stomach.... well, maybe your body just ain't build for those washboard abs.

True, I'm not saying you have be "skinny" but I'm sure you can reach a balanced weight where your stomach looks more nice and normal.

I didn't watch it but will assume that it's about fat people that gave up and try to justify being fat. That is fine. They are non-contenders to me. I rank them right up there with the people at my work that never try to advance. It just means it's easier for me to advance. It is their choice to accept failing, limitations or whatever you want to call it. Their choice to apply parfumes to **** to hide the stink, but they shouldn't complain when female/male love interest (that do stay in shape) "never gives them a chance" just because of their weight. No, they are not shallow, they just don't want people that gave up.
