Well, I'm just glad to see the OP's lack of bitterness worked out well for him... and I'm free to make note of his willingness and ability to discuss it with the lady without automatically jumping to negative conclusions. I am not a circus animal so I'm not going through hoops for any woman. That is not bitter that is just me being me.

In my experience, the longest lasting relationships come from both people being willing and able to jump through some 'hoops' occasionally for each other. He didn't jump through any hoops. He communicated effectively and was patient. Time will tell how she (and he) manage other challenges.

There are too many women out here to have time wasted on one. That is not being insensitive or mean that is just the truth. What one won't do another will.
