Chubbi Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I had to write a paper for class and when I turned it in, I have about one typo/editing mistake per page but my professor is going to mark me so far down for it that i may end up with a C+ again out of the class. I am so depressed about it because I really tried hard but I didn't give myself enough time to correct every mistake. If you have more than 3 mistakes in the paper, he will count you off for it soo much and drop you 2 letter grades, and I am so ashamed and embarrassed. I have never gotten lower than a B+ when I put in the minimum amount of effort all throughout school and now in grad school I have to struggle to get a B. I feel like he thinks I'm dumb by some of the things he says He was like, "Oh I know you could have done it. You needed about 50 more points to get in the B+ range." No kidding. Just so depressed about it and here I am crying because I just know I will be at the bottom yet again. I didn't study at all for my other classes and I came out with a B range, but no, in his class I get a effing C+ every single time because of grammar mistakes. He told my friend, "I grade harder when there are grammar errors." That's not the rubric. He has to only grade grammar for a certain amount of points and the other points go towards content of my argument! So anal and douchey.
FitChick Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Why not have a friend proofread it first? Either that or give yourself more time.
