carl1234 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 so, i met this amazing girl and our first date went incredibly well. we hit it off immediately and it all seemed just very natural. i mean, we were making each other laugh and smile the whole time, and before you knew it, we'd been sitting in the same spot for 5 and a half hours. i felt she was definitely enjoying my company because half way in, she started touching my hand, and then just cuddled up next to me...eventually, i had my arm around her for half the night. i didn't kiss her, though, til the end. i thought it went super well... after all, she stuck around with me for twice as long as i expect a first date to last. anyway, the second date went even better. another 6 hour date, laughing, smiling... cuddled up together for most of the night and a lot more kissing... telling me how comfortable i was... staying in the same seats again until the place we were at closed. i thought this couldn't be going any better... i've finally met someone i just clicked with and it all felt so natural, and i assumed she felt the same way ... i mean, how often do you just sit around with on person for 5-6 hrs if you're not interested in them, let alone kiss them? but then the next day, i get a message that she has a lot of fun with me, but we shouldn't go out again because we're not compatible... what the heck? i'm at a loss to understand if i messed this one up somehow, or if i'm just really bad at assessing girls' interest... any thoughts? carl
SJC2008 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Sorry to hear that. Just reivew what yall talked about. Did yall talk about relationships or views on marriage or anything like that where mabye she had an opposite view? Really long first and second dates are a bad idea IMO. I know when things seem to go so well all logic gets thrown out the window. She probably got hurt recently and and is protecting herself, I mean a woman isn't going to spend time with someone she doesn't want to for that long and turn it off like a light switch IMO.
Author carl1234 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 didn't talk about marriage or anything like that... and i didn't really plan to spend that long with her either time, we were just having such fun together that the time went by without us noticing. i'm assuming there must be more to the story behind the total 180, but i didn't ask any questions... just said i really enjoyed getting to take her out, take care, etc...
