Bkaelberer Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I have been reading online that the number one way to get my ex boyfriend back is the no contact rule. However I feel like he is doing the same, are we just going to be waiting forever for the other to start contact again
leoc1973 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 well if you feel like he is doing the same someone has to swallow their pride and come to the other person. If you think he is using NC to get you back then why are you guys apart? NC is supposed to help you heal after you get it in your head that you want to get over them. I think the best way to actually get someone back is to have limited contact and when you talk to them you act like your life is incredible without them and you are doing fine. And even better actually make your life incredible!

No Contact is to help you heal and to move on if you no the relationship is not for you. How do you know your bf is doing the same if you haven't talked to him? He may be moving on.
TaraMaiden Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Bkaelberer, read the link in my signature. It's just about the best document on NC advice you're ever going to read - but i warn you - you won't like it.... so who dumped who? Because it matters.....

It is to allow yourself to heal from the breakup. Sometimes though one of the side-effects of NC is that your ex becomes curious and will contact you at some point. Usually though, by the time this happens you are no longer interested in a reconciliation.
