Chubbi Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 If I look at the guy, I don't know. I think the OP should try it, but I did warn him. If I had been moving closer to a guy on a train I see everyday, it's because I feel more comfortable standing next to him because he hasn't bothered me or sexually objectified me. That's great so I don't feel on guard or on edge as a woman. So, I trust his person more, not because I want to date him. It rarely is because I think he is attractive. And I'm sorry but if the girl is young and looks like ScarJo, I guarantee she will be more pickier than I am. If I thought a guy was attractive and he stared at me everyday I got on the train, I would already try to make convo or at least smile. But 9 out 10 that does not happen.
kaylan Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 U say she aint interested but this can go either way. I see ugly guys w/ a hot girl at least once a day so its possible & these guys are not rich okay? Anything can happen. Just 'cause she's hot like Scarlett Jo dont mean she has to be attracted to hot guys. Her eyesight could see other stuff that we dont know. Anythings possible besides I googled threads where girls do what she does & they said they were interested but didn't wanna make it so easy on the guy so they stayed where he can see them but wanted them to make a move. I'm gonna give it a shot what do I lose in it??? Yeah, and I see butterfaces with good looking guys from time to time as well. Exception, not the norm. Pics or gtfo OP. lolz
shorty7 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I wonder if she just stands there because that's where she always has? Why does everything she do have to relate to you at all? I'll put myself in her shoes. Let's say I'm pretty; I may not know it, or I just accept the fact that thankfully people appreciate the way I look, whatever. If I were her, I'd likely choose the same spot on the train because I'm a creature of habit. Do I notice I'm always standing in front of the same guy? If I do, I will assume he's there because that's his commute spot. The likely story is I'm really enthralled with the thought of "ugh, there's that thing I don't want to do at the office today..." or, "ooh, this is a good tune that just came on my iPod" (I'm really a scatter brain in terms of being aware of my surroundings). Now laying out all those assumptions, if the guy who always sits behind me taps me on my shoulder and says I dropped my handkerchief or something, I'll say, "Thank you, but that's not mine." If that person had enough tact to smoothly transition into a conversation about how we always take the same train, I'm okay for small talk. if he ask for a cup of joe and he seemed interesting, after a few times of talking to each other, I might take him up on that offer. Like someone else said, give talking to her a try. If she gets creeped out and switches routine on you, then all you can do is move on. At least it'll help you stop obsessing about her being in front of you all the time tantalizing you with her good looks.
fortyninethousand322 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 im pretty i don't have a boyfriend end of thread Totally blows my mind by the way.

Exactly, it doesn't happen that way so maybe you should back off just a bit and let the OP try his hand, since very very few women approach men, especially the so-called beautiful ones. They have no reason to because a man of their expected caliber will eventually come their way. But in cases like the OP there's a chance that he could get lucky and get a date with her if plays his cards right. I've seen it happen and then the guys get to sit around and gape in horror at the opportunity already lost. Women in NYC don't approach men unless in atmospheres like bars/clubs, and it's often after having a few drinks to loosen them up and jump their courage a few notches. Other than that, it's always going to be work the men have to put in.
Hear Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 If my mind was a penis, it would be blown too. In any event...OP bad idea...it is like dating a classmate or fellow employee. if things go bad..you have to see each other every day and it will feel awkward. I have a sexy girl standing next to me at the bus stop almost daily...she is a young student wile I am 32. i feel something...but hey...not worth it bro...just enjoy looking at her and that's it.
dasein Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Figure out where single women go, a large % of women out on the street will be involved, and some of the ones who say they are involved are lying about it as a "jerk shield." Keep up polite convo with many of these girls, and once she buys in and realizes you aren't a jerk, suddenly the BF goes away in a puff of smoke somewhere never to return. But target places where single women go to meet, in NYC museums. galleries, even those movies they show outdoors from time to time ("Grease" is always a good one, TONS of women, NO men lol). Keep your approach rate high, you are doing things right, they will pay off. 1
Dust Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 It sure seems that way it really does . I'm still trying tho. I asked out at least 10 pretty girls last week & all have bfs. I wanted to talk to others I'd seen but they acted like they didn't want anybody talking to them so I'm not going to do things they dont want right? I saw some more pretty girls get off the train last night but their bfs drove up and they got in the car. I dont know what to do right now but theres this 1 pretty girl thats at the train station w/ me every morning & she wont look at me but she always in my way standing there w/ her great body. When I walk on the train she stood in front of me again. Is she interested? Why is she standing there in front of me but not looking? She's confusing me someone help . You really had to title it "Are all the pretty girls taken?" I mean really I see no problem with your title but in the interest of PC commmunication this world has come to GOSH. Can every one SHUT it about "pretty girls." I think the OP just meant all the girls he's interested in "pretty" are taken. As opposed to implying that all women every where are taken. It also makes sense he would be into women he SUBJECTIVELY finds pretty. He of course wants us to tell him "NO THEY ARN'T ALL TAKEN" this isn't about if you're single you're ugly. ALthough I do believe he is beating himself up. No all the pretty girls arn't taken thats just madness and you feeling sorry for yourself. As for this girl who stands by you on the train stop... It could mean anything. Since she's caught your eye how about manning up and having a polite charming chat and seeing where things go. Try asking her out etc. Good luck stop being so afraid of women. im pretty i don't have a boyfriend end of thread Very cute and calling you pretty puts modestly but for the reasons listed in my response above no not end of thread. Though yes pretty single girls exist as there are fish in the sea. If my mind was a penis, it would be blown too. So you take the bus and have a sexy college girl you see every day and want... yet you're to afraid to make a move because if she shot you down every one at the bus stop would be like "wow you see that guy choke." C'mon man if you like the girl ask her out. If you think she's good looking but she seems imature and you'd rather not deal with her then don't. If you want her bad but you're just afraid of being embarressed and awkward at the bus stop for ever more... LAME. It should be her worrying about getting asked out and awkwardness not you. You're a man you can laugh that stuff off and ask her out over and over again... as long as your polite and respectful about it theres no shame.... I wouldn't exist had my Grandfather not worn my Grandmother down by asking her out over and over again. Also my Mother was a lot younger then my father so yet again I wouldn't exist. You could pretty much drive an ice cream truck down the street and play "its raining men" as you go and women and gay guys would come running to see what you were selling.

Being or not being "pretty" does not necessarily have to do with it. Still baffles me... Really? Getting a good partner isnt just about look. For the record I will agree elenor is pretty and cute. Not so pretty that Id be ripping off my arm to beat down other dudes so I could talk to her first though lol And her friend....not that attractive in my opinion. Id pass lol
verhrzn Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Im noticing a trend here. Do you really need random dudes online to validate you? Is she trying to get validation, or just pointing out how ridiculously over-the-top the OP's claim is? 1

kaylan Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Is she trying to get validation, or just pointing out how ridiculously over-the-top the OP's claim is? Shes in yet another thread...3rd Ive counted recently...pointing out how pretty and single she is...and now is offering up pics. Come on now. That seems like she needs others here to agree with her that shes in fact pretty.
verhrzn Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 You should have posted a pic too. Of course, we all know why you're single, and it's not due to looks... Yeah, LS has finally convinced me... it's looks AND personality. After all, all pretty women are taken/have to beat men off with sticks/get thousands of messages online, etc, correct?
kaylan Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 You should have posted a pic too. Of course, we all know why you're single, and it's not due to looks... burn ! Yeah, LS has finally convinced me... it's looks AND personality. After all, all pretty women are taken/have to beat men off with sticks/get thousands of messages online, etc, correct? Do you want a boyfriend or a man to use you for sex? Personality matters when looking for a partner. I much prefer that because Ive been used before and it sucks like hell.
eleanorhurting Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Is she trying to get validation, or just pointing out how ridiculously over-the-top the OP's claim is? Verizon, I don't know who you are but I am sure you are pretty too. Stop beating yourself down. I am sure that will make you much more attractive. And no I don't need validation about my looks. I know I look OK. What I am pointing out is that I do not understand why people put such a high emphasis on "looks" when trying to look for a partner. Gosh there are so many other things that are much more important I just don't get it. And I also don't understand why people who think they are "unattractive" keep thinking that being "attractive" will suddenly solve everything. I do seek validation externally ... about other things in life... but thats another issue... nothing to do with looks. About school, grades, past events that I have not let go of... so you are right.
mesmerized Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I get that I'm attractive, sexy or cute often but I'm single. A lot of my friends are in the same boat. None of us are drop dead gorgeous though. So maybe you only hit on drop dead gorgeous girls lol 3

Sure, I'm the pot calling the kettle black here, but it's true. Upbeat people are always more attractive. I don't know, sometimes pretty women don't get approached at all because men are intimidated. Besides, you're all into that sci-fi stuff. Those types of guys are not going to be approaching women left and right.

I much prefer that because Ive been used before and it sucks like hell. I've had boyfriends who used me for sex... so, not that big of a difference. I've acknowledged before that personality matters for a partner, but so does attractiveness. No guy is gonna date the ugly girl with the great personality; he's gonna date the girl he's attracted to with the great personality. The OP actually perfectly personifies the guy who focuses entirely on looks, regardless of which he's looking for. Is he such a rare specimen? I'd think most guys are like him... go for the hot girl, and hope she has a good personality. I have yet to see a thread that says "All the kind-hearted, smart girls are taken!" No you just have a negative attitude. Sure, I'm the pot calling the kettle black here, but it's true. Upbeat people are always more attractive. Upbeat ugly girls are just delusional, or win out in a room full of negative ugly girls. I will admit the upbeat ugly girl MIGHT have a slight advantage on a negative attractive girl, if the guy is desperate for a relationship. Upbeat attractive girl > negative attractive girl > upbeat ugly girl > negative ugly girl. 3

Upbeat attractive girl > negative attractive girl > upbeat ugly girl > negative ugly girl. This is what we call a "self fulfilling prophecy". You believe you're ugly, so you give off an ugly personality. No one wants to be involved with that.
