They say forgiveness is a powerful thought, because you release your self from feeling angry. Yet how far do you go to forgive someone? Like one of my friends went after girls he knew I was after, more than twice, I forgave him the first time. Yet isn't it dumb to chill with someone after they hurt you repeadedly?

How can people forgive a partner who cheats? The cheater took alot of steps to cheat. Now, I can understand, if its a first offence a pardon can be granted...yet what if an event happens more than once? You can forgive them...yet keeping in contact seems foolish. Can someone enlighten me on forgiving?

It's important to be able to forgive people. But that doesn't meant that you submit yourself to repeated abuse. Forgiveness is not the same as acceptance. You can forgive someone for doing bad things, because you recognize that they are weak willed or have bad judgment. But when you see that in them, it is up to you to protect yourself.
