nick d Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) This week makes 7 weeks since my ex left me. Today is day 15 of NC for me.. When my ex left me, I honestly didn't care to live. Although we were only together 3 years, she lived with me from the start so I saw her EVERYDAY! I missed her more than words can describe, and I still miss her so much.. But why should I want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with me?! One thing alot of us need to realize is that they AREN'T the person we fell in love with anymore! For the first few weeks I stayed in bed. Didn't want to get up, called into work alot, and didn't leave the house for anything. I begged for her back and she could care less what happened with me. I was MISERABLE and honestly thought of ending it many many times.. But ya know what, it's NOT worth it!! There is SOOOO much more to life then a person who doesn't want to love you back! As I layed there in misery I thought to myself "Now what would my ex want? Me to sit here and be miserable and be thinking of her while boosting her ego, or out improving myself and having fun?!" Trust me, your ex would DEFIANTLY prefer option 1 to boost their ego that much more! Since my ex has been gone I have developed a whole new motivation! I have been working out 5 days a week (instead of 3) I am getting much stronger and more ripped than ever! (My 6 pack is turning into an 8 pack!). I paid off all my credit card debt, I am getting enrolled in school, I am eating better, and have met a lot of cool new people I would have never met before! Do I still miss my ex? OF COURSE!! But I miss the girl I feel in love with, not the new her.. I think of her everyday and it hurts like hell! But ya know what, one day she will hear or see how good i'm doing and realize she made the biggest mistake of her life!!! So everyone out there that has a broken heart (especially dumpees) I encourage you to get out there and do things with your life! Start school, excersise, do whatever it is you want to do! That way when your ex sees you or hears about you, they will know that your not in misery over them and your better off! And then watch their big ass ego go straight down the toilet! Trust me everyone, I have been so low that I just didn't care anymore about life. But ya know what, your ex doesn't DESERVE you and let them see that your life is going no where but UP without them!!! Edited March 22, 2012 by nick d

Since my ex has been gone I also paid off my student loan with one single payment (had the money all along but was paying monthly installments) and booked a trip and have also been hitting the gym hard! Keep it up!

She met up with my mom and told her what a perfect guy I am...that she is missing me, etc ...she wa also upset that I am taking this trip on my own because even while together I wanted to take this trip all alone ...she feels that now that I'm single then I can take the trip alone lol

She took me to her native homeland to meet her family which is why she finds it difficult that I would never want her to come to meet my family. The difference is she had been going often and knew her family well, but I didnt and its been 14 years since I left

I think you should heal yourself from the pain and move on whether to take her or let her go. Are you SUFFERING THE PAIN, because your ex DUMP you?
