We are all held captive by our warped sense of reality.

I see unbelievable2 quoted in other people's posts responding to her but see none of her original posts. Were they so offensive they were removed by mods?

I always miss the fun.

Why is this condescending, ******* bully allowed to post? He must **** the moderator because there is no way, with his bad attitude and foul mouth, that he is still allowed to post.

I've reported him many times and yet he is STILL here.

WHY?

I think I love you.

Impossible. You don't even like women.

Ouch, that's quite the rejection....

Lol! I could name off bitter women on here but I won't because of what happened last time. Its more than just about saying all men. I get tired of the incendiary comments the women make on here, the assumptions, and the lack of accountability on their part about failed situations.

This is exactly how to complain about it! Good work, my friend!

To everyone see what happens when these women get the it straight with no chaser. They have a fit! I'm out of here. I got music to make and other sh*t I got to do. Have fun being negative ladies! :)

:D

It's usually better to give out the rope with which one may hang, than to kick the stool. Is on this forum, anyway. ;)

Unforgivable, C. How dare you use that term against me. My butt hurts. I'm crying. I'm,.. I'm.. whining...

Now I know how some of the male posters on this thread feel all the time. But I have to admit it feels liberating to act like the little girl Dad never let me be. I can see how they would want to do this all the time. Masculine standards are oppression.

Masculinism! Powerlessness to the men!!

If you know five guys personally that are not heavily afflicted with these issues, then please do womankind a favor and hook up some nice girls with them.

(hand up, waving) Starting with me... cause you guys know I have friends and am returning the favor, doncha know.

Why don't you do it yourself?

I'm sure you have single guy friends and know single women who are looking to date.

All he was trying to do was break up the Self-Pity Party.

The pity parties on here are ridiculous. The assumptions they have about the opposite sex are just based in a skewed version of their reality. The avoid the real reason they keep repeating the same thing and this is themselves.

Well obviously it's themselves, but how does it make their reality any less skewed?

There are two possibilities: either we all share the same reality, or we all build our own reality. If we all share our own reality, then how I fix/perceive myself will have very little effect on changing my life, because I cannot control reality itself (I cannot become beautiful by telling myself I am beautiful, if I am ugly in the shared reality.)

If we each build our own realities, then there is no such thing as "truth," and thus no such thing as a skewed perspective. It means we're ALL skewed in some form and fashion. It would also be very difficult to critique other people's reality, because we ourselves cannot experience it.

Our perspectives are also not pulled whole cloth from thin air. They are built by experiences and lessons. Can you say, with certainty, that given the same experiences as some people you pose as "whiners" and "skewed," you wouldn't be the same? Having to "exist in the real world" for the people you target would be asking them to essentially go against all the lessons and experiences they've accumulated in their lives-you're not only asking for a different perspective, but an entire new way of thinking, a re-writing of history and personality... and not only is change scary, but changing to something you feel is the FALSE (based on your past experiences and lessons) is incredibly so.

I as a child learned not to touch the stove, because it is hot and burns me. What you're essentially telling me is that I need to completely rewire this lesson and tell myself "The stove totally isn't hot, let me touch it!", perhaps because when YOU touched the stove, it was off, and thus wasn't hot.

LOL, I HAVE!

I even hooked up my best friend with my "boss" (he's been an awesome friend for years.)

Later hooked him up with a great girl who worked for my Dad.

Neither panned out, it is a little hard to develop eye-contact and chemistry and when you are blind.

Hooked up the old roommate.... Etc etc.

Why don't you try pursuing Verhrzn?

I think both of you have similar viewpoints, just opposite.

Changing a mindset shouldn't be scary. You are stuck in negativity. You hold onto it because its all you know but if you really want date you are going to have to step out of comfort zone.

Again, what's the difference between negativity and reality? Some people really ARE destined to be alone, some people really ARE thoroughly unattractive to the opposite sex no matter what they try.

Reality is not always negative. If you were so unattractive to the opposite sex then men on here wouldn't be mentioning about dating you.

I'm with you, joystickd. Great thread. Unfortunately, the ones who need to be taking your original post to heart are mostly numbskulls.

That is so true.

Easier said then done..

Im a pretty positive person in other aspects of my life 31 years of no positive reinforcement or interest from the opposite sex tends to make one a little pesimistic about being attractive to the opposite sex..

In fact it would be pretty foolish and dellusional of me to think the opposite

No it would not. The only reason it is to you is because it has become your comfort zone. You want to change but you are terrified to step out of it. Honestly you want it but don't want to put in the work to do it

Results are the results..Some people for whatever reason are just not attractive the the opposite sex..

My friends who get women they arent splitting the atom women are just physically attracted to them ask about them and they take it from there..

In my 31 years the fact i havent been approached or had a friend say so and so women thinks youre cute by accident is a pretty good indication where i stand

A closed mouth doesn't get fed. You have to do the approaching. Quit being a p**sy and just do it. If they reject you move on there are too many to be stressed on just one.
